The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights is not prepared, trained, staffed or managed to my safety standards for our mother who lived there for 2 years from 2022-2024. She was in assisted living. The building is pretty but it’s the wizard of oz. Behind closed doors they are incapable of medicine management. They forgot, lost, and dropped her medicine often and denied it. They went through 4 wellness directors in 2 years! They put our mother’s health in jeopardy to the point where we hired health care aides to track and monitor all her meds 24/7. And they still messed it up often. All our emails and calls and meetings in person and on the phone didn’t work. They will tell you it’s all a staff issue it’s not. They are only focused on their bottom line. The medicine management part of their business must be shut down.
Send your loved one if they are well and able to manage for themselves. When they are older they will need you to pay a lot of attention to this. Food is terrible too - they take your money and don’t even buy quality ingredients. There are other families who have moved their parent out of there to other facilities.
Our Mom is now happy elsewhere in NYC with excellent care. No need to monitor their work. They are who they...

Read moreIt is a great experience to have such a welcoming person at reception as Colleen she welcomes us by name with a smile. Not only that when something doesn’t work correctly in Ben apartment she attends to it quickly even in the late evening. Three months ago we had the most wonderful 80 th birthday celebration for my husband Ben Carney tonight for 18 of our friends. Shannon organized the whole evening. Shannon was patient with all my indecisiveness in planning the event. Her upbeat and comforting personality made me have confidence in having the party at Watermark. The service and food thanks to chef, Max was excellent . Our friends are filmmakers, artists and academics. They were pleased and surprised of how beautiful Watermark is. They said they never visted an assisted living residence with the classic aesthetic design. We had cocktails at the penthouse overlooking the manhattan skyline and dinner in Gustavos. Ashley came in to help and wish Ben a happy Birthday and welcome our guests! My husband was so grateful for Shannon and the staff that made this possible. And...
