I have been involved in the world of fine art for going on 30 years now.
I create art, represent artists and, as a consequence, am involved in producing giclee prints - primarily on canvas. I personally have no interest in owning a printer and getting myself mired in that quagmire - been there done that - and trust me unless you want to risk - and likely waste - tons of money and time you do not want to go there my friends So, I use the best fine art printer I have found in NYC, Tribeca Print Works.
I have how been working with them for what will be a year since last July 2021.
This means, I don't personally have to fight that incredibly complex, daunting battle of knowing all that is "second nature to them now" and can focus my mind on the efforts of creating and selling my art and that of those with whom I work.
None of us can be a master of all things. If you are an artist, then focus on being the best artist your God given talents and exacting hard work enable you to be and don't kid yourself that you can be also be a jack of all trades.
And if you need exquisite prints, produced by people who will care about your reproductions being as perfect as possible then, you cannot go wrong by favoring Tribeca Print Works with...
Read moreI recently ordered a print of my old portrait. It was an old file from more than 10 years ago and had some issues, but Tribeca Printworks provided fine-tuned technical adjustment and it came out beautifully. Plus I love their hand-torn finish. It works great with the floating frames. My print was smaller than standard size, but they readily accommodated all my needs. I don't know of any other studio that does fine work as they do!!
My previous post: I ordered framing of an etching (a bird on a pomegranate). They went above and beyond, recommending how to trim the uneven edge and choosing the right type of material (walnut), then they recommended "museum acrylic," which offers no glaring reflections (!!) I had no idea such a thing existed--this is why I like working with professional people like this shop. I also previously ordered prints of my babies (cat photos--two at the bottom) and they provided just the perfect prints I was looking for. Impeccably friendly and friendly pricing too. I'd...
Read moreI’ve ordered two printed and framed pieces from Tribeca Printworks. Both times, they were communicative and were able to have the framed prints ready in less than a week (one time was over two days and the other time was maybe three days? But incredible to have such a quick turnaround)
I wanted to thank you guys for the work you’ve done and the service you provide. Both times when we presented the final framed pieces to the recipients, they are so touched and honored by the framed piece. Tribeca Printworks really does a great job and makes a framed piece look amazing!
Also, I love that your website shows examples of different frames/paper and how your artwork would look in each option. I wasn’t sure about what sort of paper to use, so the staff recommended one based on the artwork (has text and a photo).
Thank you for making this experience...
