Today, Tuesday, November 5th, a short brunette woman with glasses. She was standing at the cash register in the women's section. She was definitely racist. Today, I shopped there with my hearing impaired cousin. The woman who helped us, I thought she was Indian, was very sweet and patiently helped with everything. I paid at the cash register and left my stuff there because my cousin from Holland and I were still going to New York. This was asked to the manager first and after she confirmed it, the salesperson passed it on to the woman at the cash register. But the woman never smiled. She gave me the receipt and didn't say anything like have a nice day or goodbye. I thought it wasn't over and waited. Then she looked at me as if to say what are you waiting for, I asked if it was over, she nodded and I left. My cousin told me that I was just smiling but she was just looking at my face. I thought maybe she was upset about something. When we went to get our stuff, there was a transaction in line and I waited for it to finish. Then, just as I was about to tell her that we were here to get our packages, she interrupted me and pointed to the next customer waiting for the transaction, but she knew that I was only going to get my packages. And even though I had to catch the bus, I waited for that transaction too, and then nothing. Without saying anything, she slowly handed me the bags and I took them without saying anything and left. When I noticed that she was smiling and talking to the customers in front of me, I was sure that this attitude was specific to me. I think she was uncomfortable with my headscarf. As long as these people work, I will not shop...
Read moreAs a woman of color, I was treated like, "The Invisible Woman". I entered the store knowing what I wanted. I wanted to do a try-on for fit purposes. All single, sample models were on display. I selected the shoe and took a seat, resting the shoe on my knee. The store was crowded, but I was patient and watched in the order of the servicing of patrons. Besides the employees, I was the only browned-skinned person. I watched the employees eagerly approach and assist other patrons. I sat patiently for approximately 10 minutes. NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED ME!!! I looked at my phone clock and waited 3 additional minutes. I placed the sample shoe back on the display rack and left. It was at that point that the employees decided to acknowledge me, but in the wrong light. They were looking at me as if I wanted to steal a single shoe sample. Mortified and sickened by this entire episode, I went directly to the store manager. As I was making the complaint, one of the second floor employees was behind me and I was able to point out the level of service I was given by the employees. They do not realize that at the end of the sales day, Corporate is not looking at the color of skin, but the color of the green backs. This Brown on Brown prejudice needs to stop. SHAME ON YOU UGGs on...

She basically told me no to the exchange . I sat there mad for a couple mins then asked for her higher up supervisor she first told me they were in a meeting and then noticed I wasnât leaving and said someone is coming down. All while whispering about me to her co worker which was the actual guy who sold me the shoes two days ago . But thanks to JACIE and her amazing help I was able to leave with a new pair . Shout outs to JACIE because she understood that there were literally no size 8s left and I was determined to have them . Also gave me the last pair in my size & let me know sheâs not suppose to exchange them but for this one time she did & I...
