As someone who works in the wellness space and is constantly on the lookout for local, community-driven gems, I can confidently say that Wick Pilates is something truly special. I’m a huge proponent of supporting local businesses, and this studio exemplifies everything I love about small, intentional spaces that prioritize connection and care.
The physical space itself is stunning—open, bright, and thoughtfully designed. There’s a gorgeous skylight that fills the room with natural light, and the abundance of plants makes it feel alive and grounding. There’s something about the environment that just wakes you up in the best way.
The energy at Wick is warm and welcoming, and the instructors are genuinely some of the kindest I’ve encountered. I’ve been taking Becca Jane’s Thursday noon class, and her approach to group fitness is incredibly refreshing. She has a beautiful way of making every individual in the room feel seen, offering personalized modifications that make the practice feel both safe and challenging. As a yoga teacher myself, I love coming to her class not just for a great workout, but as a reminder of how impactful it is to lead with kindness.
Overall, I’m a huge, huge fan of this studio. It’s the kind of place you want to bring all your friends to—then grab a glass of wine down the street and rave about how good you feel. Wick Pilates is more than a workout space; it’s a little sanctuary where community, movement, and care come together...
Read moreWhat prompted my first visit to Wick was me feeling incredibly lonely and like I had no one to turn to. After a day of wallowing in self pity, I dusted myself off and booked a private session at Wick. You see, Pilates has been on my list of things to try for years now, but I was always too intimidated. However, I decided that no one will ever pick me out of this funk but myself, so I headed to my private session on a Sunday in early August, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. The welcoming support that I instantly felt when I walked into the beautiful airy natural light filled studio made me realize that Wick was the place for me. I try to go to at least two reformer group classes a week, and I’ve noticed such a difference in my mental, emotional and physical health. I’ve had the pleasure of taking classes with Cheyenne, Amanda, Sophie and Mad, and they’ve all made me feel incredibly comfortable and capable. My favorite thing about Wick is that it doesn’t feel even remotely intimidating. Not only the instructors, but my fellow classmates are all so chill and down to earth. This studio has honestly changed things for me, and definitely for the better. Wick Pilates has been the kind of community I’ve been searching for all along. I cannot recommend this...
Read moreThere aren’t enough wonderful things to say about Wick Pilates. I’ve been to the studio plenty of times, and I leave every class feeling centered, strong, and supported—both mentally and physically. It always feels intimidating to try a new fitness studio or class at first, but every instructor at Wick truly makes you feel confident and capable, regardless of your experience level.
The vibe is incredibly welcoming, and classes always offer modifications so that all fitness levels can feel supported. Not to mention, this sunny, airy studio is beautiful — there’s tons of plants, a disco ball, and a skylight. (One time it rained during class and the rain pitter-pattering on the skylight combined with the class’s calming yet challenging vibe was more soothing than words can describe.) The studio is always incredibly clean, too, with nice lights, great equipment, and good upbeat-but-chill music.
Each instructor brings their own unique strengths and approach to class, but you truly cannot go wrong with any of them. (I usually take classes with Amanda, Ciara, or Lo and they’re all great.) No one class is alike, either, so you’ll always experience something new and engaging. I always look forward to coming to Wick and I highly, highly recommend giving...
