Awful experience with whoever was working the cash box on Oct 1. I arrived at 11:04p and asked if I could still do the free before 11p. The bouncer lady kindly told me it’s a no and directed me to also ask the person doing the cash box. I asked the other worker and tried to explain I missed my train and that I only planned to get a drink and then a ride back home so the extra $10 would be too much. Their response was, “You can get a drink and a ride, but not afford $10…?” That was wildly disrespectful and inappropriate to say. I shouldn’t have to explain why it wasn’t doable to spend an extra $10 unexpectedly. I would’ve understood and just left if I was told another simple no. But I was judged while being transparent about something as sensitive as money. This is unacceptable. Especially from a business that’s large in the queer Brooklyn community. Stumbled across this place and decided to pop in for a quick drink. It appears like it was originally meant to open like a dance party club scene, but obviously with covid is just a bar for now. The interior is super cool. The wallpaper has aluminum foil and art all over it; it's kind of got a weird space vibe etc. The drinks are pretty basic and nothing special. I got a cocktail + a beer and the quality was very meh, but I would go back just because I liked the vibe and its affordable. It's not meant to be a fancy cocktail place I don't think, just a chill place to grab a basic drink with friends. Kind of like a dive bar, but with a bit more going on....

what’s up with the door staff??? the lady working there flung open the bathroom door on my friend and me and asked me if I needed my friend “to wipe my a$$” and then did the same thing to another girl we were with and made fun of her for using the broken toilet…it’s your establishment maam lol there wasn’t another bathroom available. so hostile for literally no reason, we had just gotten there and didn’t do anything wrong. we were a group of 8 who walked out shortly after this. such a weird experience. bartender was great though, too bad we didn’t want to stay longer given the bad vibes...
