Extremely happy with my purchase of an elusive Specialized Roubaix Expert from Riverside! We live in the lakes area of NH and Riverside was the closest dealer with stock. I checked availability online and ordered it New Year’s Day. Tom, the general manager, contacted me shortly after they opened on the 2nd to check on what time I’d like to pick it up. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. When we arrived we were greeted promptly and safely. I talked to Tom and his staff about some options (power meter, etc) I may be interested in eventually and they explained my options with no pressure to buy from them. Here’s the best part: after we arrived home several hours later and right before the store was to close I noticed what I thought were defects in the bike’s top rail finish. I called the store in a bit of a huff and they suggested to email pictures to Tom. I did, and he responded within 20 minutes with pictures of another Roubaix with the exact same ‘defect’. He explained this is the ‘naked’ look of carbon fiber bikes. Panic averted! After talking to Tom I did check on a few cycling boards and found confirmation from Specialized that’s what this is (I’m a bit of a doubting Thomas sometimes, sorry Tom!). Not sure I love it yet, but it does make every bike unique. My only wish is they were a LOT closer so I could get service there. Thanks...

Great experience. I originally went in to have them check my wife’s e-bike that was skipping but also had a future appointment with Phil Wong for a fit to determine which road bike could work for me. I explained to Chris that I wasn’t sure what I wanted and needed their help. They quickly fixed my wife’s bike with an adjustment and only charged me $15. Chris really took his time to understand how I rode and what I was looking for in a new bike. After discussion, he felt that a Specialized would probably fill my needs and more. I test road a few (also not something usually available for a high end bike) and I was amazed how well they rode without adjustments. I’m particular about components, frame, and wheels and after much discussion we decided on a bike. After seeing Phil for the fit, they’ve really dialed in the bike. Chris, Chris, and Tom were extremely helpful and probably saved me money with their recommendations. The entire staff has been terrific, patient, and knowledgeable. A fantastic bike shop with outstanding customer service! I’ve been a regular with several bike shops around the country. The folks at Riverside (sales and service) always exceed my expectations. I’ve witnessed Phil, Ryan and Scott consistently deliver grins and happy smiles to riders even on a busy Saturday when the shop is swamped. This spans everything from quickly fixing a flat or adjustment of a seat on a family bike to tuning high end bikes to deliver a better, smoother and optimized ride. Sales is awesome too. It’s never just a transaction; Tom & Ryan are the real deal. They ride consistently; ride what they sell; and make sure you are delighted with your purchase. This applies to everything small (buying a water bottle cage or lights to make commuting safer) to large (demoing multiple bikes to make sure you find the ride that you love vs the ride you just like).
