Sustain boutique + chandlery — Local services in Newburyport

I'm disappointed on how our experience went. We felt extremely rushed. We could barely finish one glass of wine before we were pushed out the door. I spoke to the owner on the phone before we came in. She was lovely! She walked me through how the experience would go and she explained the setting process of the candle making and said that if we were doing dinner in the area they would drop of the finished candles to the restaurant. (SO SWEET) We were all so excited for a sip candle making night.

Our appointment was for 415. We were early.. No one spoke to us for the first 10 min.... we were then taken back to the candle making area and began around 425ish. At 445 the girl running the class told us they were closing at 5 that night so our candles weren't going to have enough time to set.if the candles weren't going to have enough time to set then why would you offer a 415 class??. 51$ for 30 minutes of candle making and we were rushed out.... Not...

I cannot say enough how much I love Sustain Boutique and Chandlery! The merchandise is both unique and affordable, and the staff is helpful and friendly. It is obvious the owner puts thought behind every item being sold. No two visits are exactly the same experience, with ever changing inventory and product displays.To add to the inviting atmosphere, in the back of the store, there is a candle bar, with walk in AND party options. Sustain is worth a visit every time you are in downtown...

My daughter and I shared a fun and fantastic afternoon together creating custom candles at Sustain’s scent bar. What a terrific experience we had with Alyssa as our candle consultant. We were able to spend time custom mixing scents until we found ones we loved and incorporated them in our candle base in beautiful vessels.
