Alchemy Works Harbor House — Local services in Newport Beach

Review is for Doen which shared same retail space, the dark hair, Asian or Latina sales associate was very rude and racist. I shop quite often at Doen online and in-store, went to this shop a couple times, whenever this Asian or Latina sales associate was there, she always found a way to show that you’re not welcomed to shop there. No greetings when I walked in, but sent out her warmly welcoming to the white girls who walked in right after me, not only one time, it was every time, no smiling face whenever I asked for help, very pushy when I tried on the clothes, asked me if I needed help every 2 minutes, attentive weirdly, intended to get me out of fitting room, however, no one was outside to line up for fitting room, the shop was empty, she did not even happy to ring me up, asked the other associate to help. If she’s not happy to work there, then she should not, if this is the image that Doen wishes to deliver, then, this is not brand I would consider spending more money on. The Alchemy works store has given me the same experience, I never received any welcome in words whenever I walked in, but the white ladies they always did and more attentive to them, anyhow, the same store, same...

I’m not one to leave reviews, but the women who work this place truly ruined my day. I run an instagram page highlighting the best Orange County spots, and I’ve always loved this shop. It’s hard to leave without wanting something! So I spent my morning at Herst (love), and walked over to the shop intending on making a post for my page highlighting all the great stuff. Not only was I never acknowledged in the store, I mentioned to one of the older women about my page asking permission to snap a few photos around the store, and I was laughed at. Scoffed at even. This isn’t the first time either, but for whatever reason I always think she might be in a better mood when I stop in. I truly can’t believe a store owner would have someone like this working their store, she doesn’t know the first thing about customer service, it’s like unless you walk in with a Birkin bag you’re not good enough to speak...

Im not one to write a negative review, I never have. But the service at this shop is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The younger girl in the other section of the store was so sweet! But the two older ladies working the main floor had no class what so ever. Definitely not the type of employees that represent Newport Beach!! I’ll spend my money somewhere else! Do not waste ur time supporting...
