I normally don’t write reviews but I’m still upset about 2 years after my experience with this jeweler.
My fiancé bought my Old European 3 carat engagement ring, diamond earrings, and diamond vintage necklace here.
After wearing my necklace for several years the clasp became loose from normal wear. It was on a delicate vintage chain with a unique chain pattern which I loved. It was very special to me, it’s something I touched everyday because I wore it everyday.
So I dropped my necklace off with all the confidence for repair. No reason to doubt they had been good so far.
After several days I picked it up and went home……. but something was wrong. The necklace felt wrong between my fingers and it was a slightly different length. So I began to look at photos of the necklace before repair and after the repair and to my surprise I suddenly realize they had swapped out the chain which I could verify with photos.
So I went back and told them this and they said they couldn’t find the original chain and didn’t know what happened. And the best they could offer was to provide me a standard replacment chain.
It was thicker, not vintage, and slightly shorter necklace definitely not unique like my original one. And the new chain causes it the pendant to twirl around because of the slightly different length.
To this day it bothers me because the original necklace was a hand picked gift with a cherished memory that looked and felt different and now I have this necklace. It still upsets me. What jeweler swaps out a chain, doesn’t say anything and then can’t find the original one?
So I would say proceed with caution. I’m sure they can provide you decent service but wouldn’t trust them with your most valuables. I still don’t know how they could “loose” my chain where did it go? Why wasn’t it somewhere in the jewelry repair shop??? professional jewelers don’t loose repair work and they don’t replace antique items with modern ones.
Still haven’t forgotten…..,,

Read moreHi Ben It's been 8 months from your response to my 1 star review....still haven't heard from you or your store and your words even though they sounded good..."saying that you really care"....your actions show otherwise as you never did follow-up as you said you would. And by the way, I still don't wear that necklace because YOUR STORE lost my original antique chain. You don't get it, I wore that necklace EVERYDAY it was very important and sentimental to me. Now, I don't wear it because it reminds me of your God awful careless mistake or should I say gross negligence and profound unprofessionalism. So again, I still don't understand how you could "loose" my chain OR that you would send me home without telling me you lost it. My assumption is that you were hoping I wouldn't notice....well Ben I did notice. It's really sad that such a lovely gift from my finance has been ruined. If you really cared you would find me an antique necklace like my original one and replace it, now that would be...
Read moreI have been married for 27 years and my rings, although beautiful, needed to be redesigned due to the wear and tear of very thin channels and prongs, one was missing holding in my center diamond. With the expert advise of the Master Goldsmith, Mike and the design expert, Ben, we came up with a design that would not only secure the stones but enhance the beauty of the rings. They rebuilt the rings to include a setting that would highlight the center stone and thicker channels that would secure the stones and highlight the diamonds. They changed it to 14K white gold which is what I always wanted, which further enhanced it's beauty. As I told Ben when I picked it up, it looks like the diamonds got bigger, which he replied, "we put it in the magic diamond growing machine". The talent and attention to detail of the entire team at William Harold & Sons Fine Jewelry was...
