I drove here and walked up realizing they were about to close in about 10 minutes; started to walk away but made eye contact with the owner and figured I'd just go in and ask if he had what I was looking for; a jar of jewelry cleaner. After I left there, I sat in my car for an hour with tears in my eyes because of how my jewelry was treated. I know it was a total misunderstanding and the store owner did apologize for misunderstanding me. I was just mortified because he took my ring, said it was quartz, which it's not, and handed it off to another man. The owner proceeded to ask me where I got the ring from, I told him where and his tone changed as if he didn't like these people and just said "Yeah, we know them." While talking to him, I notice the other man putting the ring up to a polishing machine, thinking that my stone was harder than it actually was. I panicked because all I knew from my jeweler whom I got the ring from was that my engagement ring is sunstone and I have to be gentle with it because it's not a hard stone and can get damaged easily. I told him I didn't want to harm the ring by using that machine; the stone is sunstone and not quartz. He just said it won't, while continuing to polish the ring. I proceeded to tell them I don't want them to clean it like that, it's only a month old, it's not that dirty. All I wanted to know is what I should use to clean it at home because it gets build up underneath the stone. Told them my mom had a jar of jewelry cleaner she used to use, thats what I came for (Really wanted to know if that even ok to use). They just told me soap and water. I never got my jewelry cleaner and even worse after taking my ring and doing all the extra stuff to it, it's no cleaner than it was before because the area I can't reach under the stone, is still cloudy looking from soap and such. I can't stop looking at my ring and being heartbroken feeling like it just has a more roundish...

Read moreI stopped by Bihl Brother’s last week to fix a necklace that had some wear and tear, and didn’t know how to fix it myself. The owners were incredibly friendly, and ultimately ended fixing it at no cost (it was a very small fix). Would highly recommend them, they know what they’re doing and are enjoyable to have a conversation with. Would honestly give six stars if I could.
They have a cute, friendly dog that hangs around...
