We've been bowling at Walt's every week for nearly 3 years now. Love the comfortable atmosphere and traditional layout. Not like a lot of other places that have been converted to more of a "casino" or "carnival" type enviroment. Walt's is still a classic alley.
Rob, and the rest of the staff, were a huge part of the reason we kept coming back after our first visit, and were able to maintain our weekly sessions without fail. He always had lanes for us, even when it meant a league had to be cut short 2 teams. He even remembered all of our shoe sizes and pulled them up as we walked in the door. And they never complained if we ran right up to (and sometimes after) closing time. Thank you. On behalf of our entire group, we wish you all the best and you shall be missed. 💖
All of that being said, the place is still much the same after these past few weeks under the new ownership. The new staff members are very friendly and the enviroment (minus the smoking) is still very comfortable and relaxing.
Hopefully it remains so, and looking forward to the reopening of the kitchen. Was a great thing during the somewhat brief bit it was open those few months. Thank...
Read moreJeff was the employee that worked with us. He was extremely rude. Didn’t give us shoes, yelled at my boyfriend, when I asked for clarification on pricing he just nodded his head at me and refused to speak to answer my questions. When we were charged $50 more than we were expecting he finally spoke but only to tell us he disagreed with us. I called today to speak with a manager who apparently expected us to climb over the desk and get our own shoes bc she claimed it was our fault we didn’t receive shoes. Also told us her employee must have assumed that we were “smart enough to read signs” even though I went and asked for clarification. She refused to allow us to speak to anyone else, didn’t give us her name and hung up on us. Horrible...
Read moreOkay, so I love this bowling alley, and I always always will. I always love finding time with my friends to go midnight bowling. But. I feel like it should be addressed that there are a lot of Covid concerns here. I was here during the day at some point last year, so maybe they switch it up at night. But it was very crowded. They did separate people by every other lane for the most part, but as more people came in, they started letting people bowl side by side. I did notice that the staff didn't have masks on, but I thought it was just them. As time went by, and it got more crowded, I realized almost everyone didn't have a mask on. I want to go back to normal just as much as the next person, but we really are still in the middle...
