I went into Oakton coin store today with my friend and ask them to see coins to buy but instead the employee or owner said we are not selling coins today I asked him why and he said we are not selling coins today or showing coins and walked away. After I left I called and talked to the same employee and asked him what day will you be selling coins. His response was other day and I asked him what day and said other day and hung up the phone on me. I have never been this respected as a customer in my life! I will never come back here... Beware!!!! Right after I went to Archieâs coin and they treated us like a customer.
Replying to the owners response: Me and my friend were not aggressive at all and how can you come up with that assumption after I asked you one question?? All I said was can I see the coins you have because I want to buy one. Also, calling us âTHUGSâ is extremely offensive! Very Discriminating! We were both wearing gym clothes because we just left the gym at Xsport... this is against the law to do even with that sign up and with your response it proves it! I will look into this with a couple of my attorneys. In the mean time You should work on treating customers in the future as a paying customer supporting your business. I work for a university and run a landscaping business while finishing up my undergrad degree in finance with one Semester left and never would that even cross my mind to say something like that to a customer thatâs called me or I met in person wanting to give me their business. You clearly enjoy belittling people with no regard for...

Came with my boyfriend to sell some coins. Employee was nice and awesome, beware of the tiny owner because he was beyond rude!!!! Another customer came in with some gold and it peaked our interest and my boyfriend asked if he could look at them. Owner rudely said, âNOPE! NOPE! NOPE!â And was shooing us away. He could have done it in more of a professional way instead of making us feel so small, like him. We understand that privacy is required but his attitude and demeanor was so uncalled for.
Also, before armitron wearing little âbigâ shot went to help the other customer, he was looking at the book of coins with the employee and said to him, âyou know what to payâ as if we didnât know the value of what we brought in. The employee sadly offered us $450 for the book of 25 coins plus a valuable coin which was a rare 1889 Carson City Morgan silver dollar and we had previously brought that coin to ARCHIES COIN off of Devon Ave. for $1100 alone!!! Donât let these people take...

God bless my dad; he left a collection of old silver dollars and half dollars, etc. I didnât expect anything to be worth much but the owner (Joses) took his time with my collection. Who knew the coins that had silver in them had different edges?! I sure didnât. He even had special equipment to test the one diamond I brought and the one old bronze Roman coin too. The day I was there; the owner and his associate were both working. The associate was handling what appeared to be an estate collection. Though I know they have handled some priceless collections at Oakton Coins, and what I brought was minor, I was made to feel welcome. You never know what someone is carrying, after all! I will be bringing in my grandmotherâs orthodox cross for an...
