Oakton Bakery is a true neighborhood gem. Tucked away on Oakton Street, this family-owned spot has that old-school charm you don’t find much anymore—and the baked samoon speak for itself.

I’ve been coming here for a while now, and every visit is consistently excellent. The service here is warm and personal. You can tell the father and son duo take pride in what they do, and they’re always happy to offer recommendations on what to enjoy your freshly baked samoon bread with.

Aside from the bakery, Oakton Bakery doubles as a small Middle Eastern grocery store, with a great selection of imported goods—spices, olives, tahini, labneh, and much more. It’s convenient to grab everything you need for a full meal in one stop.

Well, what can I say 🤔 The owner himself said that it is not fresh bakery goods that they sell. As such the welcome statement from the shop is misleading. It's a grocery shop that sells packaged goods of all kinds including Middle Eastern sweets, but they are not baked at the shop. The owner is a nice guy and said it was his son that put up a "comment from the owner" and he himself was not aware of what it said. Oakton Bakery is a perfect place to pick up last minute groceries or ingredients for dinner.

Their bread is made daily. Always fresh. Super soft and delicious for sandwiches, or used to soak up every bit of a meal.

They have international snacks and premade sweets.
