Very underwhelming experience. Starts off with the distracted counter personnel. No option for a receipt, was my bill correct? My daughter ordered a burger with beef fry and an egg and dressing on it. Burger arrived without dressing. She still absolutely loved the burger (I tasted and was not a fan). I ordered a small bowl of turkey soup. It was decent, and if it would of arrived hot I probably would of enjoyed it more. I order a side garden salad, it was plenty large and looked very nice on first view. The problem was it was not fresh. Some of the lettuce was wilted and the tomatoes were kinda mushy. My guess is it was made day beforehand and kept in a too cold refrigerator. I had it with French dressing with was bland but acceptable tasting, it was too thick to pour properly, probably due to age and being refrigerated too cold. The Buffalo wings were tasty but kinda small, the ranch dressing was bland but acceptable. The celery sticks on the other hand were atrocious! It was like they gave us the top trimmings and what they forgot to throw away. The cole slaw was presentable but very bland. With better service attitude and attention to detail this could be a good restaurant, unfortunately they are not there at this point. The outside seating was sufficient and enjoyable.

I’ve been going to this location for a kosher meal for over thirty years. Used to be called Falafel King and they had some pretty good food. The current ownership—for decades now—has created the perfect comfort food sandwich shop. They just do it right. I know the owner, he’s a great guy and he stops in every day. There’s nothing bad on the menu. I would venture to say the most popular kosher sandwich in Chicago is The Donny. I have mine in a spinach tortilla as opposed to the tomato one. If you are visiting from out of town, they have ample parking, the service is super fast, the staff knows what they are doing and it’s on the way to the airport via Oakton, which is faster than Devon. Perfect plane food.

We are a group of 13 and were very impressed with the service we got. We placed our large order over the phone and everything came exactly the way we requested. The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the dishes were piping hot even half hour later. Highly recommend!

The food is always fantastic and we enjoy ordering a variety of food from them. Unfortunately they are fairly disorganized. We ordered delivery and after waiting an hour and a half for delivery, the driver left half the order at the restaurant because they put the order in two bags and the restaurant did not indicate that there were two bags to the order. When I called they were unhelpful and nkted that they knew the driver left half the order and they did nothing to correct this situation or contact us. They said I had to call the delivery company to solve the issue (which I did and they were very kind and helpful). This restaurant places all take out or delivery orders at the front and do not check out the food with the delivery drivers. When I talked to one of the workers they acknowledged that this happens multiple times but do not seem interested in improving their system. When I suggested that they tie the bags together so that the delivery drivers know that there are multiple bags to the order they just stared at me without any acknowledgment even a simple statement acknowledging the feedback. I enjoy the food but wish their service was better.

Edited to reflect that I thought I was speaking to a manager but it turns...

I finally have time to write a review... And I really wanted to make this one count.

You know those sneaky little places l, maybe they don't have the biggest dining rooms, maybe they are just a small place...but OMG the FOOD IS BIG!

Portion sizes are ridiculously good. The price won't break your wallet

My favorites on the menu

-Cobb Salad with Fire cracker sauce -Fire cracker chicken strips -The Donny -Rodeo Burger - you have to try this. If you ask for avocado on it holy flavor explosion.

Egg Role variety - Pastrami, Burger, BBQ Beef, London Broil, and Chicken. Every now and then they have a special one. There special sauces they match with each egg roll are a flavor explosion and compliment them perfectly.

This is a kosher version of a Grease Spoon. The little hidden gem where everything...
