Perfection Custom Closets Inc — Local services in Niles Township

We moved in to our new construction home in mid January 2023 and with our developer's recommendation to work with Perfection Closets. Closets were installed prior to us closing on our home. Upon moving in and finally getting situated, we needed a couple of adjustments with the shelf/rod and also noticed a few damages in all 3 bedroom closets(chipped wood, scratched up hanging rods) so we reached out to the designer who worked with us. After 2 emails sent to the designer, and finally hearing back a week later due to Covid (which we totally were understanding about), he said that he will forward our request to their production team. 2 weeks had passed and after another follow up email to our designer with no response, I sent a general email to the company and the sales manager responded promptly and assisted to get things scheduled after almost 2 months of initial contact. A week prior to our scheduled service visit, my partner kept getting calls that is intended for a different property and the day before our appt, we had a service guy show up unannounced.During our scheduled visit, they were unprepared to resolve all the issues even after I provided pictures of what needed to be addressed to be considerate of both parties' time. The inconvenience of having to chase and send multiple follow ups to replace the scratched up rods due to their failure to do quality control and provide good customer service lasted for 5 months for a 10-minute job. Last straw for me was when the Production Manager who I have been chasing for months from our last call told me he will call me within 30-45 minutes for scheduling, but never did. I once again got the Sales Manager (who was responsive) involved and was disappointed to find out that the situation was misrepresented to cover their misstep. As a customer who has been extremely patient despite all the inconveniences, have no gain from misrepresenting their failure to resolve their unfinished job. The day of scheduled service, an hour had passed with no one showing up nor getting notified until I sent an email. Being unapologetic is one thing, but the lack of accountability and integrity is unacceptable. Who doesn't want to support a local company, but you never want to feel that after completing your payment that the company is so transactional that their service ends when payment has been received. Due to poor customer service and lack of operational competence/management, no regard for customer's time and all the inconveniences they have caused us, paying a premium price is not worth it with...

My first time using a closet builder and it won’t be my last. This place is top notch from start to finish and made the whole process super easy, even for a beginner. We contacted them online about mudroom storage and they responded same-day to schedule an in-house consultation with our assigned designer, Lynn. She was very easy to work with and gave us renderings in under a week which were almost perfect. We made one minor change and Lynn gave us updated renderings the same day. The estimate was very reasonable and we were able to view and approve it online easily.

The project was handed over to Pamela for scheduling and that was easy as well. We were able to get the work scheduled just 3 weeks away with an estimate of a 2 day job. When installation day arrived, the crew arrived on time, worked quickly (and quietly!) and was done in under 6 hours. Their work was high quality and it looked exactly like the renderings. They were respectful and kind and cleaned absolutely everything up before they left. I even got a call from Pamela 2 days after install to make sure I was happy with everything.

Laura redesigned our closet and the end result is a beautiful, functional, timeless space. She listened to our needs and preferences and worked creatively and diligently to give us exactly what we asked for and more! We were so impressed and pleased with her communication throughout the process and what was clearly her sincere interest in us being happy with the end result.
