Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Niles

I like the store, but today I had a rude experience with a worker. Which does reflect badly on any establishment.

We had more shopping to do, but decided to leave after my altercation.. Only buying a couple items we had in our buggy.

I think his name was Matt? He was a short, skinny, bald white man. I had asked him as he was walking past me if Ollies carried drink coasters. He didn't acknowledge me and as he walked past me, barked out "No." I replied "Wow!!!...thanks for being so helpful." He said "Well I answered you didn't I?" I said "Yes, and Rudely!" His reply was "Whatever."

I hope this employee is told this is really bad for business!! Don't act like the customer is bothering you. Without customers there's no need for employees.

I'm not sure I'll ever go back there. There's plenty of other stores with better employees that can...

Went to return a bag of candy that didn't taste right & I had a receipt because I just had bought it the previous day & the male manager wouldn't let me exchange it because he said the bag was opened. . But I taped it shut very nice & I said how would I know that the candy didn't taste right if I didn't open it & taste a piece? So he said "were not exchanging it" & I said I'm calling Ollie's Home Office . So I went to my car & called. Sure enough, they told me to go back in that they were calling him & he is supposed to give me my money back. We'll, I did just that & of course when I went in, he wouldn't come out of his office, so another male Mgr. Came to the register & politely gave me money back. So I did a little shopping in the store because I wasn't going to have that know it all Monster...

Its Ollues for crying out loud! And if you're not a member of Ollies Army and have your card, you should do it now! This store has pretty decent organizations for the type of randomness store it is but I'll tell you what...you'll find some outstanding prices on name brand products and closeouts. it's just a fun time to shop in this store. Theres everything from carpet to candy bars and coffee makers to coloring books we love going to the store it's always an exciting fun shopping and barging hunting adventure. Who knows what you'll find and new stuff comes in all the time! it's not a discount store like a flea market it's a discount store like hey we bought a bunch of cool stuff cheap we're going to help you get...
