When my husband and I were preparing for our wedding we went to Mitchell’s to have them make our wedding bands. We were just starting out and had very little money, but Mitchell’s treated us so well. That was 1988 and we’ve been loyal customers ever since. Our loyalty was earned by Mitchell’s marvelous staff. Since that initial encounter, and our situation has improved, we’ve been able to make a number of purchases throughout the years. One of our favorite things about Mitchell’s is their relationship with a diamond house in Antwerp, Belgium. One of the diamond house’s employees comes to Mitchell’s 2-3 times a year bringing with her a selection of stones. Over the years we’ve had great fun selecting stones for various jewelry pieces. Mitchell’s also allows diamond customers to “trade up” to larger and/or clearer stones; it’s such a terrific policy. Additionally, Mitchell’s is amazingly helpful in bringing to fruition one’s vision of a new piece of jewelry. I’ve had ideas for pieces, and although my descriptions of what I wanted were horrible, the staff were extremely accommodating by sending me mock-ups to review. They were never exasperated with me, no matter how many times I sent back the mock-ups for adjustments. They also have “wish lists” to make gift giving a breeze. A customer can shop for items they like and put it on their wish list. Then the gift giver has only to go to the store and pick out an item from the list knowing it’s something the recipient will be thrilled to receive. I bought my wife a Tacori engagement ring and matching band when we married in 2008. They have endured some extreme wear and tear throughout the years and both were out of round as well. We had two option for Tacori authorized dealers in Norman. I called both stores and based on the professional level of customer service we received from Mitchell’s and the repelling sales approach from the other store, our choice couldn’t have been made easier. We chose Mitchell’s Jewelry for our needs and we could not be happier with our decision to do so. Shannon took care of us, not just as customers, but treated us as family! She is extremely knowledgable! She explained the process, contacted Tacori and setup the repairs and shipping. My wife did not want to be without a ring on her finger for several weeks while the repairs were being made. Given the wide selection on countless rings at Mitchell’s, my wife was very particular in the ring she wanted. Not too much to take away from her wedding rings but just enough to look good and still be able to wear in the future on her right hand. Shannon assisted us in finding the perfect ring for this purpose. And on top of that she was able to figure out how to give us a discounted price also! This was in early February and we received the rings back beginning of March. We still are in contact with Shannon as of today, end of March! The positivity of our experience selecting a wedding band for my fiancé at Mitchell’s Jewelry with Cloie can’t be over exaggerated. He doesn’t wear a lot of jewelry, wasn’t quite sure what he wanted in a ring, and hadn’t really seen anything he liked very much in current trends. During our first visit in September to browse, Cloie greeted us warmly and gave us so much helpful information about band materials and style choices. They have a truly impressive selection of men’s wedding bands to begin with, and we did find one he thought he liked but wasn’t quite sure was the one. Cloie was so patient and never pressured us at any point, and she let us know that they would be having a wedding band event in February with many more options available. With a really lovely personal touch, Cloie reconnected with us ahead of time about the event and set aside an appointment. During the appointment, she was once again so kind, informative, and patient and walked us through different materials, really taking the time to listen to characteristics he did and didn’t like to eventually help him find a ring that he’s completely happy with. I’ll add that we already had my wedding set from a local jeweler in a different state before relocating to Oklahoma, but my fiancé noticed that Mitchell’s has more tools to visualize stone cut and size than he had access to when choosing my engagement ring.
