Make sure you are not in a hurry. I did some shopping at the Norman store at 6pm. After finding my 2 items, the lines was way too long to check out. It was about 12 people with 2 registers open. The woman said that happens sometimes. I called to explain I had to leave and why I had to put my things down because I didnt have time to check out. I had an appointment from 7pm until 8pm, so Ihad to leave at 6:45 or 6:50. I waited for a long time and the line didnt move. After I left I called the store on my way to the appointment and told them i had to leave and asked the price of one of the items bc it was not marked. She asked if i wanted it. I said yes but i had to leave bc the line, i couldn't make it back until tomorrow. She told me they could only hold it until 8pm. It was rude the way the situation was handled on the phone call. I was switched back and forth between 2 different women and no one even offered an apology, like most place will to customers. I told her I could make it back tomorrow, but she said no we only hold something until 8pm. There were plenty of workers they could have called up to get me out on time 6:45 so but the manager and other staff members were watching the two lanes slowly ring up people. I was third in line in the shortest line and people were behind me. So I told them not to hold it, I was more frustrated after the phone call because it wasted even more time. All the time picking my items, one which was damaged and no price then the time on the phone trying to make it right. Over all it was just a rude experience, for a hobby I dont have to have. I think I'll look at Micheals or Amazon and see if they have something similar or better price...
Read moreHobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores. I go often and spend way too much. One of my favorite things about Hobby Lobby is the customer service. I have never met an employee who wasn't friendly and helpful....until tonight at the Norman, OK location. Lucy was the "manager" who was called to the register because the item was not being honored at the half price item. I explained I had just been the. A few hours later and the other (same type) items were all 50% off and offered to show my receipt. She was rude and disrespectful in how she responded. She was quick to tell me I was wrong and previous employees "just didn't know what they were doing." She yelled across the store to get her employees to answer her. The quiet, relaxed atmosphere that is usually at Hobby Lobby was definitely not that tonight. I am very disappointed that an employee especially a manager, would be allowed to speak to her customers like that and even more bothered on how she talked...
Read moreIf there was an option, I would have given them ratings in negative (-). I bought a wall clock from this store that was marked down. No where on the product it was written that the clock was damaged. I brought it home, and found the clock doesn't work. When I took it back to the store to exchange for a similar one that WORKS, I was told I have to pay the full price for the item. The manager was very ill mannered and did not know how to talk to customer. The manager said that his "words are the final" and no way I can get a working piece in the same price. It seemed he knew that the clock did not work and had put that up for sale in spite of that. He said he thought "somebody might take the non-working clock as a wall decoration". How can he manage to have his job with such a low level of intellect - oh sorry! its Hobby Lobby after all.
DO NOT buuy anything...
