Ace Hardware — Local services in North Bend

What a pleasant recent change to this North Bend store. Been shopping here for over 4 years and it really got bad for a while especially when the store was sold and new management took over. We lost a lot of friendly helpful old staff as a result. Suffered with the lack of happy or friendly staff or for that matter anyone willing. Now .. Wow what a difference the last month . I am now greeted by the nicest guys willing to help me right when I walk in. I cannot say enough about the amazing customer service Trent gave me and wonderful attitude and smile in garden . I felt like I mattered as a customer again and some days this is the only Adult contact I have as my son still doing online school and hard for me to get most days. The new Assistant Management Walter is also so friendly and helpful and accommodating. I am so encouraged about this store as it supplies a lot of my every week needs for our home and garden here in North Bend. I was dreading going there before but now I’m so happy to see some of these new faces and some of the older staff that have stayed and weathered...

The crew here is very helpful and kind! I felt bad because we drove all the way from whidbey island on our way to a camping trip and realized I forgot my hiking shoes, we pulled into to the shop a minute before they were closing. I tried to make it quick so the staff wouldn’t be waiting on me but that’s when Demetrius came up and greeted us with a smile and told us to take our time so I could make sure I got the right size. He even got out the ladder (which took a while because it was moved) to look for my right size. He found my perfect fit and I had a great camping trip and I love these new shoes! The other gentleman who rung us up, I forgot his name was also very nice! Thank you so much for taking the time to help me, most places you go to before closing the folks get upset with you and try to kick you out but these guys were so cool about it, much...

While they don't have everything the big box stores have, Ace has a surprisingly wide offering of products for a local hardware store. Having recently bought an old home in town that needs some work, I'm a frequent shopper here. The people who work here are knowledgeable, or are willing to find someone else who knows more, and are unfailingly friendly and genuinely interested in great customer service.

In addition to the usual things you'd find at a hardware store, they also have cooking / bbq supplies, pet supplies (nearly as much of a selection as the pet store in town), some fishing / hunting / camping gear, work and outdoor clothing, and they sell a variety of passes and licenses for local recreation.
