🚨AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS — SCAM ALERT!🚨 This is hands down the worst petting zoo experience we’ve ever had. I’m writing this so other families don’t waste their money like we did.

We booked their so-called “baby animal” session after seeing cute pictures online. The price? $73 for two adults and one toddler for just 45 minutes. Sounds expensive, but we thought it would be a special experience for our 2-year-old. We were so wrong.

We arrived at 3:25pm for our 3:30–4:15pm session. There were NO other guests, and the manager was just sitting inside the fence, scrolling on her phone. Instead of letting us in a couple minutes early (with a toddler in tow!), she made us stand outside the gate like idiots until the clock hit 3:30 on the dot.

Then she tells us there are only piglets — NO other baby animals, despite what they advertise. Misleading much?

Still, we tried to make the most of it. The piglets were cute, and my toddler was so happy. She gently picked one up, and the manager ran over and SNATCHED it out of her hands, saying “no picking them up!” Excuse me?! What kind of petting farm doesn’t let toddlers hold a piglet? What exactly did we pay for?

After 30 minutes of standing around pigs, my child asked to see the pony. The manager refused to let us near it — we could only look through the fence. Meanwhile, their aggressive goats kept biting at us, scaring my child. I asked if we could go back to the piglets — she coldly said they were “feeding” and off-limits.

Mind you — we had booked the BABY ANIMALS session. They also have a cheaper “regular petting zoo” option, which is just goats and older pigs. But even when I explained that our baby was scared and just wanted more time with the piglets, she didn’t care at all. Said we could leave if we weren’t interested in goats.

When I noticed the piglets were done feeding, I politely asked if my daughter could spend 10 more minutes with them. The manager suddenly snapped — started lecturing me about “boundaries”, saying I was “harassing” her. I’m sorry — harassing?? For politely asking if my kid could see the pigs we paid $73 to interact with?

It gets worse: when my daughter asked to go see the older pigs in the other pen, the manager flat out refused and then threatened to call the police. Over what?! A toddler wanting to look at animals?!

⸻

💥This place is a complete scam — false advertising, overpriced, rude staff, and nothing kid-friendly about it. There were no baby animals except a few piglets, and even those weren’t truly accessible. If you love your kids, do NOT take them here. You’ll just end up disappointed, angry,...

We had so much fun at Plucky Palomino yesterday. I’m always looking for animal encounter experiences for me and my daughter who’s now 8. We find it so therapeutic. It’s clear that the goats, sheep, rabbits, ponies, chickens, alpacas, pig, geese and dog are all well loved and cared for. During our one hour time slot (perfect amount of time) we sat in a comfortable covered area where a friendly and knowledgeable staff member told us what to expect before visiting the animals. Once we went in, the space was clean and had a lot of room for everyone (there were four adults and three kids) and they gave us as much food as we wanted to feed the animals through the fence. The fences were plenty big to get good pets in. They let the pig and one goat out of the pen (the chickens roamed free) as they wanted to be very cautious of the animals not knocking over small children. They let us pet the rabbits and brush the pig in the smaller enclosure. The staff member clearly enjoyed her role and was happy to answer all of our questions and take photos while re-filling our food cups. Overall it was well worth the price for a relaxing visit from Seattle to North Bend. Can’t wait to sign up for the goat walk in a...

Update. 1 star now because after posting this they just took the bunnies out of the cage in the yard and put them in a smaller cage with wire flooring in with the other animals. Plus the ducks, chickens, goats, pigs, dog have only gravel and bark to walk on after sleeping on cement all night. Please don’t support this business until they start treating their animals better. Would you want to sleep on cement all night and stand on gravel during the day or be locked in a cage?

I gave them two stars because the cows are treated very well but the other animals, not so much. The bunnies are crammed in a box and only taken out for traveling to parties. The goats, alpacas, and the dog have only concrete to lie on all night long and it’s only covered on the top with three sides open. Someone comes out in the morning to let them out (not the bunnies they are kept in a crammed box) in a small penned yard. It’s really sad. The barn isn’t a barn for the animals it’s a marketplace to buy things during the day. In my opinion, Please spend your money elsewhere where the animals are treated well. How would you like to be locked in a cage and only taken out...
