My Gym River Road — Local services in North Bergen

I had an amazing experience at My Gym this past Saturday, it was my daughter’s 9 year old birthday party. We had 26 kids invited, plus the parents. Everyone was well greeted from the time they arrived. Kids was getting inside the Gym upon arrival and started to play, until the rest of the guests arrived. Once everyone was inside the staff, started to entertain the kids with a lots of great games and challenges for the kids. My party was a Hour and a half, the first full hour was a non stop playing. Then the last half hour it’s was having an amazing Pizza that everyone enjoyed and was asking where do they order that pizza from. Then we all wish my daughter a Happy Birthday, helping her blowing up those candles . My Gym provided the goody bags, included in the package ! All my guests was asking information on how to book a party for their own kids. I highly recommend this place for your kids party or even to join the place I know they have 3 locations, Edgewater, Hoboken, Jersey City ! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT MY GYM, for making my daughters Birthday...

We love MyGym! My little one started going at 9 months, and almost went daily between when he was between 11 and 15 months, before he started daycare. We still go on weekends, and MyGym remained one of his favorite places, where he gets a good workout, while mommy and daddy get to socialize with other parents.

The classes are arranged in the same order (roughly welcome and circle time, dance, practice skills, swings, independent time, puppet show/song, closing, etc) but contents change every week. The instructors are nice and caring. My little one almost learnt to walk by watching other kids. The experience also prepared him for daycare, an environment where he had to share space/toys with other kids. In some way, we think going to MyGym helped to shape his personality.

We had so many fun memories, and will continue to go whenever possible....

Reducing my stars from 3 to 1. The company mandates parents to have MyGym grip socks. Feels like a price grab. They charged me for two pairs already. And the one time I forgot because I didn’t have my car, they asked to buy a new pair. My kid is wearing grip socks. To me, grip socks are grip socks. My Gym, stop trying to nickel and dime parents on non common sense rules.

Everyone in the staff is really nice and my kid enjoys his time there. God forbid if one needs to cancel membership, their policies are unnecessary complicated, not a good customer experience and feels like the company is trying to squeeze every last dime out of you. Cancellation shouldn’t feel like jumping through hoops and leave a bad taste. Staff does their best to accommodate but it’s still a frustrating experience. Not going back just because of a messy...
