I recently had the pleasure to have lunch at Porto by Antonio, and I must say, it has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant in the area. This intimate eatery offers an exquisite experience that left a lasting impression on me.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy ambiance, combined with the friendly and attentive staff, immediately made me feel like a valued guest.
But let's get to the star of the show—the food. Porto by Antonio effortlessly captures the essence of Mediterranean cuisine with each delectable dish. From the first bite to the last, their food has a remarkable ability to touch the heart. The flavors are rich, authentic, and exceptionally well-executed, showcasing the chef's true passion for his craft.
The limoncello spritz. I can confidently say it is the best I have ever had. The perfect balance of zesty lemon and sparkling bubbles creates a refreshing and invigorating drink that perfectly complements any meal.
Every aspect of my dining experience at Porto by Antonio exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail, both in the presentation of the dishes and the seamless service, was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable and satisfying time.
I would also like to commend the restaurant for their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, accommodating various dietary preferences without compromising on taste. Whether you are a meat-lover or a vegetarian, there is something delightful for everyone.
Porto by Antonio is a restaurant that truly stands out from the crowd. The combination of its intimate ambiance, exceptional cuisine, and the heavenly lemoncello spritz create an experience that will linger in your memory long after the meal is over. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this gem of a restaurant, and I guarantee you will not be...
Read moreI really wish I could give zero stars. I ordered a carbonara and their fried pizza, both were disgusting that I had to send back.
What is really upsetting is how they handled our party yesterday. I went to this restaurant for my moms birthday yesterday. I spent 3 days working hard on making a birthday cake for her which got butchered in seconds after giving this to Porto's staff.
I asked them to bring out the cake to sing happy birthday, I gave no specifications for them to cut the cake or even put a candle (there are photos of how nice my cake is that I didn't want to put a candle!). Instead they cut an entire circle and one cut in the edge of the cake (the cake came out like this before my mom even got to see the cake and before we sang happy birthday). Now I'm just thinking these people are idiots because it's common sense to bring out the cake whole before cutting it. Also they decided to stick a humungous sparkler in the middle of the cake. Oh how I just wanted to cry.
But it gets worse, after they cut the cake they cut an extra piece for the cashier WITHOUT PERMISSION!! I brought this up to them and said it is very rude to do that without asking. However, they said it was for the chef and that they had asked permission when they didn't. We asked the guy to stop cutting (meanwhile he was doing an awful job cutting anyway). But he just continues to cut and took the piece. I clearly saw the lady by the cashier eating our cake with her coffee in front of us. This place has disgusting manners and our family nor other people reading this should come back.
Oh and another thing to add, it needed to be refrigerated and the mousse was clearly melting when they served it...
Read moreWent to Porto by Antonio with high Hope's the other day for lunch, I have my favorite places for lunch but sometimes I like to try new places and give the little guys a chance at my business. The place is really cool, it's actually an old garage. The seats are metal and most uncomfortable to start, the staff is friendly but you get a sense from them as if their doing you a favor for being there. I placed a request for a pitcher of red sangria for my wife and I, comes a tiny little thing filled to the top with ice, you might get 1 and a half of a full glass of sangria if you removed all the ice. For this pleasure you will pay 25 dollars. Also not sure how much alcohol in it but very weak to top it off. Should have walked out then and there as my wife suggested especially after calling over what seemed to be the head guy and letting him know of my annoyance of this little tiny 1 and a half glass 25 dollar weak full of ice pitcher of sangria, but we didn't. Went on to order 3 appetizers that where expensive and not all that great. Ordered 2 different pizza pies, which is actually small personal pie for 1 pretty good but again very overpriced for what it is. I guess if your into a place with a cool ambieance, very expensive food, weak expensive small portioned drinks and a Luke warm waitering staff this is the place for you. As for me my motto is this, you only get me once. I will never set foot in there again. I rate Porto a one star. By the way if you want reasonable really excellent food a super friendly staff and a real size pitcher of sangria that actually has a nice kick to it, check out Viva Margarita which one block down...
