Hi Target Corp,
I am formerly writing this comment right after the experience I had at your North Bergen, NJ Target. Today is Black Friday and the primary focus should be crowd controlling, fast and accurate transactions, cleanliness as well deter theft. I am a general manager in retail likewise and wish to share this to better your services.
I, am a father of twins whom were just born and my wife is stuck home currently recovering from a C section catering to the 2 preemie newborns and as I just found out, my twin daughter/son cannot have regular formula. I was given a hard time to return formula I purchased recently, I had the receipt for it and a manager was called for no seemingly associated reason. It was embarrassing and ultimately I was given the store credit as I know that policy.
Fast forward to the unfortunate part and extreme disappointment, I was looking to purchase 9 bottles, which last 9 days only of the similac Alimentum formula(not apart of WIC program) for my twins I just brought back from the hospital in which NEEDS this special milk. I was spoken to by 3 leaders, stating there’s a limit on the formula of 4 bottles maximum, with no signage in any of the store on aisles themselves. I then explained to them I had twins at home and they were on FaceTime with my wife.
After the errors of management not having signage in the aisle and not realizing their own mistakes, I must suffer still as a father and my twins as well as the leaders did not own up to their mistakes. All of the leaders were very inexperienced as I am a training captain for my company and you MUST hire better talent on leading with style and constructive criticism within oneself as well own up when they are indeed incorrect. If there is a limit on anything, THERE MUST BE A SIGN somewhere in the vicinity. I will not be coming back to this target and I will surely spread the word on this if not rectified immediately. DO NOT jeopardize infants on your own faults!
Thank you for reading this and I hope it betters your future findings in...

If you've been to one Target, you've basically been to them all in regards to price, stock, and layout - it was no exception here. At the time I went, it wasn't busy, which is always a plus.
The employees are typical from what I saw. The hiring managers are the ones to blame really. I had no interactions thankfully, but they do their best to ignore you - the customer.
This Target reminded me of an ongoing annoyance that's in some locations I've been to - that being the annoying overaggressive sales people by the electronics trying to get you to listen to their spiel. It's like this every time - I'm polite and keep it moving, but they keep going and going......and going. They don't take the hints and sometimes they're just nasty because they're not getting their sale. They're in Target, so this is Target's responsibility even if it's just Target's partner. I find myself trying to avoid the area when I see them, but sometimes it can't be helped. If Target is going to have these people in the stores, then maybe address them in the basics of being salespeople - because they clearly do not have a clue.
Anyway, the parking lot is pretty large, so you should have no issues coming here.
This is in Jersey, but the area felt like the Bronx and looked like parts of San Francisco with the hills. It was annoying coming here, so I probably won't be...
Read moreHow does this particular location get so many decent reviews? I suspect alot of employees and/or their friends/family write them. I've been going to this store since it opened, ONLY because I don't want to deal with the zoo that is the Walmart down the road. This Target is always woefully understaffed. There are never more than 3 registers open, making the wait on line unbearable. The self checkout has helped a little, until you get someone with 30 items, or an issue with the scanner. Air conditioning? Forget it! Having the item you want, in stock? Good luck! Tidy shelves? LMAO! And don't get me started on the Starbucks in this store. There are people who come to this Target just for the Starbucks, but it is just as understaffed and ill-kept as the rest of the store. Equipment breakdowns are common, and with people buying multiple fancy drinks, having just 1 barista equals your morning coffee is going to add 30 minutes to your commute. Any positives? Yes -- the men's room seems to always be in working order, and shopping cart recovery from the parking lot is ok. Open Sundays, and half sales tax. I've pointed out all of these things via the surveys on the rec'ts. I actually got a response from a "Team Leader", but no changes, only lip service. This store could be a great resource for the community, if only it were...
