Yummy Palace — Restaurant in North Huntingdon Township

I have been coming here ever since I moved to Irwin and always enjoyed their take out. Staff is normally good. Supported them heavily through 2020 and covid. Tonight, I will never be back. Was told a half hour for pick-up, I showed up on time and then waited an hour. They were backed up because of Valentine’s Day, understandable. Asked several times where my order was and they told me 5-10 minutes. Was talking with other waiting guests and they were being told the same thing. A staff member finally went and checked on my food was found it right down the table. The food was cold. Asked for my money back, the lady got defensive and said it wasn’t her fault. I continued to ask for my money back. After I finally got my money back, she grabbed the food and said it wasn’t mine anymore. Really poorly handled, even if they were busy. My husband went to pick up our order around 5:30. It’s Mother’s Day, and I’ve worked in the restaurant industry, so I understand delays, but this was unacceptable. My husband stood and waited until an hour and a half after the order was placed, 50 minutes past their estimated time of 40 minutes until it was done. They were unapologetic and had no guess on how long the food was going to be. There were apparently another 25 or so people also waiting, many even longer, and the best is, the dining room was closed! It was takeout only and they managed to get about 6 orders out in the hour that he stood there. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp and I got chicken in my dinner I called to complain and first you don’t laugh on the phone about this cause it’s already upsetting to see this in my dinner and they told me I should’ve checked before, all I saw at first was the shrimp but you can’t hardly tell with all the rice noodles in that red coloring and the skinny slivers of chicken.
