Is there a way to leave 0 stars? I came for a to-go order around 12:00pm-12:30pm today. After placing my simple order. 2 pick twos- (turkey avo blt ON CIABATTA** with ched&broc soup& baguette) and a (steak white ched panini-horseradish on the side with French onion soup & baguette)
After waiting 5 minutes or so my pager vibrated, I approached the counter. There was a bag on the opposite service counter open and seemingly ‘almost finished’. After another minute or two my pager had finished vibrating and now the employee on the other side calls another customers name, then closing and handing them the bag. This customer then looks in the bag, questions the employee about his 3 soups and 3 baguettes and says something along the lines of “Ive only got 2 onion soups and 2 baguettes, it was 3 and 3” the employee looks back at his screen confused and replies with yeah you’re right. He then proceeds to give the customer 1 more soup and baguette. He leaves. Wondering what is going on I look to my left and see the ‘check spindle’
(For anyone unfamiliar with the service industry it is a straight upward prong that paper orders are “stabbed” on when finished)
The ticket on top of the spindle says my name, josh and #42 with the order placed on it correctly by the register clerk. So I grab the ticket and show it to the employee who has been in front of me and probably giving my order and more to the other customer just a moment ago. He looks confused, then apologizes and walked away. After he walks away and asks for some to “cover” him another lady arrives and asked the other employees what’s needed the asks me what I need. I told her I believe someone is already taking care of me. The original employee then arrives back and hands me a bag saying, “I’m sorry about that, I included multi extra baguettes and one more moment I will get you some coupons.” I responded with thats alright, this is fine thank you. I decided to check the back after the confusion and of course the turkey blt is on bread, not ciabatta as ordered. I then walked back to the same employee and asked if this was the ciabatta? He said no it’s not I’ll fix it and leaves again, at that point the second employee mentioned asked me again what do I need and after I stated to two more employees, standing in the area I believed they knew what was needed. After a few more minutes and few more names called the original employee comes back with the correct blt made twice and apologizes telling me he made the sandwich twice now, one for free as well giving me the coupons now that I didn’t want and a cookie. Plus my steak sand on panini and onion soup. All is well now.
Then I got home and my PANINI* steak sand is actually on (drum roll........) CIABATTA!!!! And the onion soup had almost no cheese in it at all. (I’ve ordered this multiple times and know the poor amount that is standard, and this wasn’t even it this time). A giant waste of my money. Staff needs re-evaluated, it wasn’t slow but was no where near...
Read moreI've been trying to get together with my 14 year old Granddaughter practically all summer long, and our schedules were finally both clear and we made plans for dinner and back-to-school shopping! I gave the dinner place up to her, and she chose Panera! I haven't been there in at least a year, so I was all for it! She had some type of southwest chicken sandwich and I had the chicken ceasar salad. Since we arrived after 4 pm, there were only a few others in there and it was pretty quiet. We looked for a clean booth, but couldn't find one, so I just grabbed a few napkins and wiped down a table, and we sat. First thing was how ENORMOUS my salad was!!! And I never imagined that she would have been able to finish the huge sandwich she ordered, but she did... AND A BAG OF CHIPS!!! (Also very delicious!) I was given a plastic fork, and no knife, so it only took about 10 seconds for me to realize that the flimsy plasticware wouldn't work for me; I was surprised that, since it was DINNERTIME, they were still using the disposable utensils. (Also...how did they expect me to cut and butter the baguette that was served with my salad??) After the minimally rocky start, we both enjoyed our dinner, and, thankfully, neither of us wanted dessert, because they didn't have any to offer! (I guess it kind of ended a bit rocky, too!!!) Overall, I'd say it was good, but with just a few tweaks, it would...
Read moreFor the third time over the past several months, this Panera has utterly disappointed. Again, the order placed online was fulfilled incorrectly. Last time 2 sandwiches were made entirely incorrectly. This time, they sold out of items and replaced portions of an order but provided absolutely no notice that this had been done. One of our soups was replaced and doubled with a macaroni and cheese. Very hungry and frustrated, I was ready to just buy another bowl of soup and drive back for it and keep the doubled mac n cheese...when I realized that they had sold out of bistro French onion between my first incorrectly fulfilled online order and the pickup of that order. ah, makes sense now. Instead of just letting us know you had sold out, you replaced an item. With increasing anger, I called back to complain and was told that, "Okay, but like, really, we've had the longest, busiest night."
I genuinely do not give a single care in the world how busy or long your day has been. I had a long day at work, too. And I would have liked AT LEAST the respect of being told you'd sold out of part of my order before you just decided to fill it with whatever.
Genuinely, take the extra 10 minute drive to the Greensburg Panera, because even when N. Huntingdon is slow, they fail to adequately perform or provide any sort of customer...
