Edit: bob Evans corporate reached out and very professionally addressed the situation. Thank you to them.
This is a rant but what a bad experience We Got cinnamon bites, half of which were raw. Remade them and they were fine. Ordered the honey butter chicken and it came out COMPLETELY raw. The server handled the situation correctly, apologized and took the plate away to have it remade. This took over 15 minutes, while my friend ate their food before it got cold. At this point with two raw items a manager should have already come to the table. He didn’t. The second plate came out also raw. I pointed this out, and asked that it be taken off the bill. I did not want it remade. I also asked for the manager, who handled the situation terribly, coming to the table with “what’s the problem what can I do for you” Not bare minimum apologizing until after telling me “yes I know, it’s an ongoing problem I know about it” and leaving the plate of raw chicken on my table. What a jerk. And so you’re just serving people raw chicken instead of 86ing it until you solve the cooking time issue? Wait staff was great, they did nothing wrong and tried their best. Manager needs lessons on how to handle basic situations and interaction...
Read moreOur waitress didn’t seem informative at all, she asked me what bread I wanted with my pancakes. This to me sounds like it comes free, so I ordered the bread I wanted but she tried charging me for it anyways. And she couldn’t tell me what page the drinks were on. And kids drinks cost extra but she was kind of rude about it when we asked if kids drink refills were free. And my pancakes tasted like everyone else’s grease mixed into it, which was nasty. I tried eating around it, but it was everywhere in my pancakes. We told our waitress and she didn’t look like she cared enough to do anything. This was our first time there, and didn’t know it was the manager came up to us later, because he didn’t introduce himself as the manger. They took off the cost of the toast which helped, because it was literally the only thing I could eat because bacon looked undercooked and hung off the little plate and touched the table. The price of the drinks should come with at least one free refill, because of how small they are and expensive. I would not come back, because the service and food was horrible. Not a good first impression and not sure we will be back, we highly recommend going to Eat N Park...
Read moreSo i saw this restaurant after driving from 5 plus hours from new jersey to mckeesport pennsylvania. I departed at 4:30am and hadnt eaten anything the whole trip. So i spot this bob evans restaurant for the first time ever and it right across the road from dennys. I know dennys and know i can get a nice breakfast there, but i decide to google bob evans menu and wife and i choose to eat there. Very nice clean exterior, and very nice down home restaurant atmosphere inside. We were seated right away and although it was very close to noon, breakfast was available. The food was great, french toast for wife, hotcakes for me.. along with both our orders each plate had scrambled eggs, 2 sausage, 2 strips bacon, shredded potatos. The french toast slices were the perfect thickness and pancakes were not too thick(which is a good thing for my liking) bacon was a little tough but enjoyable, sausage was tasty. We had coffee with refills. The pleasant surprise was the price, only 34 bucks(dollars). Thats better than ihop and the food was superior to ihop(which used to be tops when it came down...
