We stopped in here because it was away from the strip, and we like the consistency of their menu. it was around 7:30 PM on a weekday. However, our experience didn’t start off very well. We stood at the check-in podium for probably 10 minutes, trying to find someone to acknowledge us or see us. Walked around dining room trueing to get someone’s attention - saw 3 wait staff. No one would make eye contact though. A lot of standing around talking. Two other patrons told us they couldn’t get anyone to wait on them either and they had had the worst service experience ever. Finally tracked down the guy that was running between the cash register and the host station. Not sure what he was doing because there was no one at the cash register area, but that’s where he was hiding. Coincidentally, most of our supper, we saw him standing out at the cash register area, talking to the manager forever, neither of them doing anything while the wait staff was bussing their own tables and seemed frazzled. He finally seated us after about 15 minutes of waiting. They were not busy at all. There was still 3 wait staff, the host and a manager that we saw, and there were only a total of about six tables the whole time that we were there that had customers at them. So NOT busy at all! So once we were seated, we sat there for at least 15 minutes waiting for a waitress to surface to wait on us. The host pulled her side and mentioned that we were upset. We had had to wait so long so I must say she definitely knocked it out of the park and made sure that we had great service even though it seemed like she was running ragged versus everyone else there. Her name was Cheri. She did a great job!! The food was pretty good but just seem to take forever to come out. Forgot my sides but she went to grab them quickly. There was a couple items that were a bit cold by the time they got to our table, but we still ate them. Given our experience here, I’m not sure we’d come back. We didn’t end up getting cashed out until 9:20 PM. Weren’t planning on having to spend two...

I never know what type of service I am going to receive when I go to Cracker Barrel… but this time NO EXCUSES! I was seated and about 6 minutes, later another customer and her son come in and immediately have their wonderful morning welcome. There drink order taken and then later served.

Here we are 10 minutes in, No waiter no drink order nothing however, the waiter that had taken the other customers order had exchanged looks with me, forgot to mention the waiter had exchanged looks since I had sat down… anyway . And about 10 minutes in the manager and I exchanged looks too and decided to have a staring contest as he watched me and I watched him, but never decided to approach me to ask me if everything was all right, and finally at the defining mark of 15 minutes of sitting there, with nobody approaching me in the dining room, everybody else sitting comfortably eating their food. I finally was approached by the server that took the other customer‘s order and she decided to blame it on someone else that it was not her section but she would take the order anyway “how gracious of her ”she did apologize for the wait etc , it was the lack of responsibility section or not there should have been effective communication made in the back of the house. I am absolutely 100% appalled and that’s not all there was another incident the last time I was there every single time I come to Cracker Barrel. There is always something going on I just don’t understand. Simply horrible and then I tell the cashier when it happened and she’s a loss for words and there’s no ownership of what had happened and then of course the manager comes over pats me on on the back and says oh everything all right ? I said I was expecting you to come over here and you never did… didn’t offer anything for the horrible experience simply appalling Giving Cracker Barrel a 1 Star is too Generous it should really be 1/2 they have really gone down hill...

I posted and sent Gmail about the keeping of the breakfast meats..but was not contacted and it had not changed .. Yesterday was the worst food/worst service/and the restaurant. We asked for two sweetteas and 1 lemon water...the lemon. For water was brought after 4 request. We had one lady take order , and another serve food..we had no bisquets, no butter for grits/frozen butter on Frenchtoast. By the time we got any butter & syrup, grits and .Frenchtoast was cold. My husband's eggs were to be over easy..we got unturned eggs.with yellow yolk was hard. When we asked for a papercup for tea to go, we got 1 only, and a remark about not bringing hungry. I told her straight up the food was terrible and she blamed it on not having her own tablet? And she started complaining about the store not having enough for every server... What's happen to your place? Our last two visits have been nothing less than a low class resurant not communicating.

I was insulted yesterday by your host, making a joke about my handi cap.. I was in tears, but stayed as we were hungry and liked your place. We wrote off the previous week as a.fluke. It was not, and your manager on the floor had no idea was he was doing...he was waving arms. And accomplished nothing...cold food, wrong food to wrong tables...not watching food come out. We could not get spoons to eat grits. Brought Out tea spoons? They were already hard.we asked for fresh, and lady walked off..said we. Would have to address it with our own waitress.

We. Did not address with floor manager, and my husband had mentioned some spilled water on floor and his reply was its not. Slippery, well get to it.

We are.going to skip your place and look at it needing better customer service and foodd quality control. You have a front end manager that has better skills than the man who you have running resurant.

Thank you for our past times...we will miss the...

We had heard great things about this place and finally decided to give it a try. Since it was our first visit, I brought my parents along to experience it with us. Upon entering, we were greeted by a charming country store filled with a delightful selection of home décor, unique gifts, and even some nostalgic, hard-to-find candies. It felt like a cozy gift shop, adding a warm and inviting touch to the overall experience. As we made our way through the store, a friendly staff member welcomed us and guided us to our table. The interior had a cozy, rustic charm that made us feel right at home. We arrived around 6:00 p.m. and while there were only a handful of other diners, there was plenty of available seating. With four of us dining, we ordered a variety of dishes including the Country Fried Pork, a Tuesday only special, chicken tenders for the teenager, and their delicious biscuits which were brought to the table fresh and warm. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Our waitress was fantastic, attentive, kind, and always making sure our drinks were topped off. Her excellent service truly enhanced our experience. For a first visit, this place exceeded our expectations. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food made for a memorable meal. We will definitely be back!

I had NOT read the reviews Previously! I had never been to a Cracksr Bartell & my friends said the food was Good Enough! You enter into the Cute General store first. Plenty of souvenirs, Old school candy & sodas,, etc. Give the Hostess your name to be called & seated, meanwhile you can look around. Well, that was the end of the cuteness! Biscuits were good, Beignets were tasty( didn't need syrup sweet enough from sugar) Peach tea was tasty. Now the BAD..the Fried chicken was Old, Tough, & Rough! Couldn't even bite it! Turnip greens were dry , had meat in it ( needs to say so on menu) Server thinks it was pork! Friend ordered Chicken & Dumplings..Bland Pale & 2 pieces of chicken surrounded by Dumplings! Hashbrown casserole looked repurposed with cheese added. Manager & server agreed the Chicken looked old & offered a replacement..No Sir, I'm Done! So the disgraceful items were removed from our tab. SIGH..Our Server was nice. I wasn't expecting fine Dining just Fresh & seasoned food! READ REVIEWS!
