Horrible first and last impression. Was told after I walked in that my reusable grocery bags would have to be left up front due to "high theft" from their location. First off y'all haven't even been open that long so if theft is already that bad then you might as well just close down, and second why is it okay for me to bring my bags to Smith's, Albertsons, vons, whole foods, basically any grocery store and they are fine with me keeping my bag, and yet they have thefts all the time? Please help me understand the logic here especially since you hire two other "security" to continue to follow your customers around in hopes they don't steal from you... First red flag! Walked around prices are not comparatively cheaper than other grocery stores especially when I get 10 cuts of pork chops at Smith's for 10$ total and y'all charge 7$ for two pieces of pork chops. Liquid deaths were a dollar cheaper than other grocery stores, woo... Produce had flies all over them and yet the prices weren't lower than what they want to claim... Second red flag! At this point I was ready to get what little groceries I did find and $75 later for less than 10 items. I went to the register that held my grocery bags hostage just to be told to go to another check out stand; after I told the "manger" that I needed my bags to pack my groceries I was sternly told it's not a big deal and to go because he was getting frazzled and couldn't handle the handful of ppl that were in check out. Now call me crazy, but if your helping out the register then the lady that is no longer doing anything because she's waiting for the manager to do whatever he needed to do could have very easily just handed me my bags and let me go about my day, but no apparently that's just too good of customer service and that just doesn't exist here... And yet another red flag! Finally get my bags go to the register give the person my money, but unfortunately he put in the wrong amount and had to wait for the manager who looked like he straight up just got out of prison that day tells him " just give her the right amount of change back" well unfortunately the school system failed him because he didn't know how to do basic math, on top of that neither did the manager, we had to sit there for a good while, while he stared at the receipt trying to figure it out and even then he was still trying to give me the wrong change back. Finally I had to step in and teach the manager and cashier how to count properly, which is really sad because if you're hired to work with cash you should at least know how to give proper change back and if you don't then maybe upper management/the owners should keep a calculator next to the register so this way both the manager and cashier can give the correct change back instead of holding up everyone and still trying to give the wrong change or just freeze up. That was the final and last red flag for me! I'll keep my business with...
Read moreWhile running some errands, my wife called me and asked if I could buy some bottles of wine for a family Versus watch party that we were attending. Ironically, I was passing by a Grocery Outlet that was celebrating a grand opening (I believe a grand opening under new ownership) with various activities taking place in the parking lot (I wish that I had time to check them out). Entering the store, I was greeted by a very organized and clean floor plan. I was easily able to locate the alcohol section that is at the far right of the store (if you're headed there from the entrance).
Similar to most Grocery Outlets that I have visited, they had a decent amount of beer and wine. They also had something that I have never seen before in a Grocery Outlet...liquor (i.e., tequila, vodka)! I was able to find the exact kind of wine that my wife desired and I found a prosecco that was created by James Harden (my fellow NBA fans know who I am talking about). Unfortunately, I was in a slight rush, so I did not get a chance to fully explore the store; therefore, I cannot speak to the other exclusive items that they may stock.
I hear that the opening of this Grocery Outlet is a big deal, I can definitely see why. Good customer service and wine at fabulous prices, I recommend visiting...
Read moreAfter a few stops here, this is my take. 1. Store is clean and well organized. 2. Staff is friendly except for cashiers. 3. Good prices in general, some items are expensive.
Bought some chips and mixed nuts, they tasted rancid. Had to throw them away. Also, lamb chops were surprisingly good as well as the free range chicken legs.
Will likely come back for some items but not for regular...
