Do NOT get henna here. False advertisement this is not henna; they use Jagua Gel which has a completely different look and process then henna.
I asked for a free handed sun mandala, and received a flower mandala instead. The artist was nice although during the the henna process she stated âsymmetry is hardâ which was off putting especially as she was in the processes of doing my hand. I ended up paying $50 for a design I did not ask for that looks drawn on in sharpie.
Afterwards when we asked for the aftercare process she stated that it will take an hour to dry and to remove after 3 hours. Which is not what their small sign says.
8 hours after the application I went to bed and woke up with the gel on my face, my sister and cousin also had gel on their face and body where it wasnât supposed to be.
We returned the day after to see what we can do to remove it from our skin (where it wasnât supposed to be) as well as get a refund. They stated that there is no way to remove it besides trying rubbing alc (which did not work). They could not give a refund but instead give us a small design to prove to us that we were the problem, we declined as the ink stained after the treatment process and 8 hours after application. After a lot of back and forth the owner said that they could give us $25 total form the $110 we paid not including tip.
Before we left we asked to see the bottle of the gel that they used so that we could google how to remove it from our faces, to which the artist told us to ânot cause problemsâ.
We were not trying to cause problems, but to be informed on what was put on our bodies/how to remove it. the artist was trying to turn this into a life lesson on how bad moments happen in life and to not get stuck on this issue, while this has stained my face and cousins face for the next 14-60 days.
Do not come here this is Black Jagua gel not henna , it stains everywhere, and the management...
Read moreFALSE ADVERTISMENT. NOT REAL HENNA. My family and I came to north myrtle Beach for vacation this summer and my cousins and I wanted to get henna done. The lady NOT ONLY gave us poor designs that werent even close to what we asked for but she DID NOT give clear instructions on how to treat the henna after it was completed. They COMPLETELY smeared everywhere. On the arms, legs, side, and even our FACES. we went back the next day and they had very clearly explained no refunds as to most of the time when the tattoos get messed up it's the "customers fault". We asked about the ink where they then told us it wasn't even henna it was jagua gel. This money stealing company that isn't even a real company couldn't care less that it got everywhere and we're only concerned that we were "making a scene" they informed us that we could get another tattoo to see if that one turned out different which we declined because we didn't want another tattoo from a clearly inexperienced lady. We were then told that only I could get $10 back out of the 30 that I paid since mine smeared the worst. We talked to several managers who eventually came to the conclusion that as a whole we could only receive 25 out of the $110 we spent.(not including tax). We were told multiple times that it was "our fault" throughout this discussion where she also told us she had NO IDEA how to remove it. After we had "worked things out" I had asked to take a picture of the bottle of jagua gel's ingredients to try and figure out how to get it off where she then told me to "not cause problems." I do NOT recommend this place and they are very obviously a money...
Read moreI got henna done by a woman for the first time and didnât know anything about it so I thought it was normal but I researched afterwards and realized she was using something called âblack hennaâ black henna is not authentic henna. When applying henna it should be a olive green color and smell like essential oils or earthy. This one did not smell and it is black. Once the paste is dry and it flakes off, the henna stain should be orange but mine was a black-greenish color with a little bit of orange. Now, the day after, it is very dark black when it should be turning brown if its real henna. Also while i was sleeping the stain transferred onto my face and my other hand which is probably my fault. I wont hold that against them. Also the henna was $80. 90 with a tip. If you get henna make sure they are using a henna that looks olive green and is not black. Black henna is basically the cheaper way of making henna and it contains black hair dye instead of normal henna which is just the henna plant and essential oils. Hope this helps. The woman was very talented who...
