The worst restaurant experience we have ever had. Very rude staff. The first night we were there, we were told we would have a half hour wait. After 45 minutes of waiting to be seated, we checked on our table and were told by a rude and careless hostess in a cavalier and nonchalant way, "Oops. I gave your table to someone else." She did not apologize and didnt seem to care, but we said, "No problem. How much longer?" She said, "Another half hour." We said, "We will try to come back tomorrow" because we were all very hungry." Her response to us was, "We will probably be even more busy tomorrow."
The next day, we tried to visit again. We figured mistakes happen and we would give it another try.
We arrived, and there was a different hostess, so we were optimistic in having a good experience. We were told a half hour wait again. So again, we waited in the waiting area patiently. After one hour, we noticed other groups of 7 being seated ahead of our group, even though they arrived after us. We asked about it, and the hostess was rude again with a terrible attitude. She told us she didn't know how much longer it would be. No apologies, and she gave us no indication when we might possibly be seated. She could not have cared less. Her attitude was smug.
We ended up leaving to find food again and ended up at a friendly place nearby where they served a great meal and were very nice with great service. We will leave a glowing review for the other restaurant.
We hesitate to ever leave a bad review. In fact, most of our reviews (if not all) have been five stars. But the experience was just so awful, not once but twice. We love to support good small businesses and are always inclined to leave glowing five star reviews because we know how hard people work and always want to show gratitude and compliment where we can. Perhaps we should have learned our lesson the first day. But we wanted to give it a try because mistakes can happen, people can have a bad day, etc. But this clearly is a pattern with this restaurant.

Buoys-Designate a waitress, perhaps the young lady bringing the orders out from the kitchen, to handle takeout. Your bartender hasn’t got a clue.
I was on vacation and staying at a local condo. Found this place was nearby on Google Maps and placed a takeout order online. Website was very user-friendly, however, made me pay with a card and charged me a fee instead of allowing a cash on pickup option.
Arrived about 5 minutes early and the hostess directed me inside to the bartender who handles takeout orders. Sat down, told the bartender I was there to pick up takeout and already paid online. Ordered a beer and he said he’d go check on my order. He didn’t. Instead, it was the perfect storm of young females that walked in and occupied his attention instead of it being focused on the other patrons at the bar. I kept an eye on the shelf where takeout orders were brought when they came out from the kitchen. When I saw it fill up, I attempted to get the bartender’s attention, but again, his attention was not on the other patrons at the bar, but on the young females. When the couple next to me finally got his attention as they were waiting on a takeout order as well, I went over to the shelf and pointed out a bag with my name on it. I took that bag and told the bartender that I had other items. He told me he’d be right with me.
I was left holding the bag. He had enough time to continue chatting with the young females. He had time to get them drinks. He even had time to check his text messages. At that point, I looked through the other bags on the shelf, found my remaining items, and left. The hot portion of my order was getting cold and I was already 27 minutes past my pickup time. The bartender then called after me after I walked out the door and wanted to “make sure I had everything”. I told him that I did and that I got tired of being ignored for the...
Read moreNot the best experience. My family and I wanted low country boil and decided to come here. It started off not great as we were seated and then sat for 10 minutes without getting our drink order. There was only a couple other folks inside eating and one table outside so it was not busy. No big deal, our waitress came and got our order and brought them back quickly. However, we then sat there for 25 minutes before she came back to get our food order, we never saw her. Another waitress asked if we needed anything and we told her we were fine, just waiting to order and she apologized and said she would find our waitress. 5 minutes later she comes and gets our order and our food comes a little later. As soon as my sister started to eat her wings she realized one of the wings had not been plucked completely and had a clump of feathers. She wanted to get something different but our waitress was nowhere to be found. We never got checked on and never got refills. Once everyone was finished we saw her and she asked if we needed anything. We told her no thank you but we told her about the piece of chicken to which she replied "What do you want, another wing?" with an attitude. We said no, that we would just like it to be taken off since everyone else was finished. She did have it taken off which was appreciated. However, when we got the bill they had added a 20% gratuity added to each of our 4 bills. We never saw this posted, it could have been but we were not aware. We had 6 adults and 2 young children. We usually tip around 25% however, not when we have a waitress/waiter that does hardly anything and has a poor attitude. It was just a sorry experience. The manager did apologize and say she would talk to the waitress, but said she could not take the gratuity off. Oh well, $15 (on 1 of the 4 bills) I won't get back but we definitely will not be back which is a shame because it seems to be a cool restaurant with decent food. The attached picture is...
