Been there twice. 4/10 experience. We hadn't even walked up to the counter because people were there and they wanted to know our order and when I told them I need a minute they said "the flavors are on the board there is nothing to see up here what do you want". Like what? Lol I'm also trying to see how much stuff is, can I have 10 seconds to look? First time being there we had questions and the staff seemed super annoyed by it. I get you're busy, I actually work at a icecream shop in my home town, but I would never rush someone or act like they do towards customers. The flavors decent and there are a lot of them. I do wish they had a kid scoop price for my kids because they don't eat $4 worth of icecream a piece. so they are a little pricey if you have a bigger family, but the rushing you thru the line to get to the next person is annoying. I assume they are trying to be quick but I'd rather wait a little longer and have a more pleasant experience especially when having to order for a big group.Whits custard right down the road won people's choice of icecream and they are top notch when it comes to customer service. We will be taking our family of 11 there instead! Definitely recommend you try...

While on vacation here in Myrtle Beach, our little group decided on a nice ice cream treat. There are plenty within walking distance of our hotel (the Wyndham Ocean Boulevard) and all within eyesight of each other. My husband found a review from Food and Wine that claimed Melt was "The best ice cream in SC". That's a pretty bold claim, so we decided to give it whirl. It did not disappoint. Not every flavor is made in house, but they take the effort to mark which ones are. We loved this place so much and wanted to try more flavors so we ended up coming back a second time. This place could easily charge twice the price for their offerings, but a double scoop (the small) was $3.50. On a recent trip to San Diego, my husband and I had hard pack ice cream and paid about $4.50 for a single scoop. Melt is definitely fantastic, hard pack, ice cream. The staff knew what was in each tasty flavor. I'd highly recommend checking them out. The Goat was a personal favorite, along with Blackberry Chip, the Grasshopper, and Peach! Since we didn't have time to try every ice cream place in SC, I think Melt can definitely...

My boyfriend and I were looking for an ice cream place. We walked by several, but we ended up choosing melt, and I’m glad we did. I’m vegan so I only ever eat ice cream if I buy it from the store, I never expected to be able to eat DELICIOUS vegan ice cream from an actual shop on the beach. I was so surprised when I walked up to the chalk board outside with all the flavors and down at the bottom said “VEGAN chocolate” This alone is great, but the workers are great too. This place is friendly in general but very vegan friendly. I then asked for a cone instead of a cup and she knew the ingredients for the cones and informed me that there was a little dairy in them, so if I’m fully vegan I could just get a cup instead. This may sound simple but it’s really hard eating out when your vegan, and a lot of people just wouldn’t care if it has a little dairy in it and not even think about telling me.

Delicious flavors, great service, amazing...

Live in North Myrtle? Vacationing in North Myrtle? Passing through North Myrtle? Make it a point to stop-in and get yourself some ice cream! We were looking for a great place to grab dessert and I was able to find Melt! The place is small, the lines were along the sidewalk and the ice cream is amazing. There's a menu on the side walk, that someone could take a photo-of, they do taste-tests and the staff is super friendly. The scoops are very reasonable and the portions are not over-done. The only complaint that the kids had were the wooden spoons. 🤣 If that’s the only thing they had to say…..I’d say it was a very successful visit! I can make a recommendation, but I think it’s best to go with what tastes great to you! I did make it a point to order something from their “homemade” selection as opposed to the pre-made Hershey ice cream that the have. Either way, you’ll enjoy it and if you’re ever back in the area, you’ll be back! 😁

First time here and we got two scoops of the Cookie Monster with a waffle cone bowl and 2 scoops of the double stuffed oreo ice cream with the waffle cone bowl. The Cookie Monster ice cream literally tastes like absolutely nothing, it’s so weird! Just eating cold flavorless cream, I’m not sure how this one is still on the menu. But the double stuff Oreo is delicious! It’s definitely jammed pack with double stuffed Oreos! The waffle cone bowls taste homemade (not sure if they are or aren’t) and compliments the ice cream well. Another thing that threw me off was the smell of the building. It smells like mildew and waffle cones. The smell really threw me off but the building is older so that’s probably why it has a smell. We usually go to Whit’s but they were closed so we tried this place instead. It was okay but we probably won’t be back. The staff were very friendly too!

Melt lived up to the hype. Don't let the long line fool you. We saw the long line while driving to parking and almost decided not to wait. We made the wise choice because ice cream was delicious. The line moves really fast because they have multiple servers inside to take your order. We spent 5 minutes in the line and 4 minutes inside, that's it. Toasted coconut + Peach in a waffle bowl was really good combination. These flavors were not overly sweet. Kids loved double Oreo and brownie batter. Recommend to visit if you are in the North/ Myrtle beach area. P.S. There is Melt parking lot right behind the store. You don't need to park in any other parking lot if you are visiting only Melt in the area.
