Love love love this store! Their staff is almost always friendly and ready to answer any questions or to open up a fitting room for you. I love how their clothes range from feminine to alternative styles. I can be cute one day and look like a rocker the next. Their clothes have always lasted me longer than most other stores. They have an amazing selection of bras in so many sizes. This is the only place that I can get a cute bra that fits right with my bust size. They do have smaller sizes so they have clothing items for most body types. It isn't just a store for "larger women" like most people assume. Their clothes can make any woman feel like a fashionista and can be a major boost for confidence. The only unfortunate thing about Torrid is that their merchandise can be rather pricey but if you catch them having a good sale you can definitely get more bang for your buck. In all honesty the more expensive price is justified by how long their clothes last and how well they hold up even after many washes. It sounds silly but I was so nervous to go into Torrid because I’m a “in betweener.” I struggle to find flattering clothes at straight size retailers and I’ve been intimidated by going into plus size stores (bad first experience at a different retailer). I finally worked up the nerve to go to the store after ordering some items online and realizing I didn’t understand the difference between a straight size 1x and a plus size 1x. Everyone was super welcoming. At no point was I made to feel that I didn’t belong. Multiple people offered to start a dressing room for me, I was checked on frequently, and the person who checked me out was very friendly (I had a return which I know can be annoying). Also, they have fans in their fitting rooms. I had no idea how much I needed/wanted that when trying on clothes. I highly recommend - especially this location. I like this store because I'm a big girl and the clothing and shoes fit my size and style. If you don't mind the drive, Great Northern is not that far away coming from Elyria. I must honestly say that I usually go in and go right to the clearance racks.I think Torrid's price points are a little high and I refuse to pay full price for everyday wear. I do combine online shopping with in-store shopping and catch many deals in-store. Truth be told, I've only purchased items maybe once or twice at full price and it was only because I had NO other options. I've found clothing, many pairs of shoes and boots, and accessories that I absolutely love on Torrid's clearance racks! The ladies who work there are always friendly and helpful.
