My visit to JCPENNEY was awful. I was there to make an online return. The checkout/return station was literally located at the farthest wall of the door.
I had to find & and ask TWO different associates for directions.
Once I found it, I read and reread & reread the sign that should indicate which side of the counter for returns I switched lines FOUR times in an attempt to make sure I was in the correct line.
When I finally got to the counter, the woman exclaimed rather loudly that I was in the wrong line.
I was at my breaking point because 1. The items I was returning were for my mother, who suddenly died before ever wearing them, and 2. I am (obviously with medical equipment) disabled. I was exhausted.
I leaned in to ask her if she could please make an exception and do the return.
She then turned away, looked up to the ceiling, to ask in an exasperated tone if I needed to get into the other line!!
I literally yelled at her the question, "Are you going to facilitate this return or not!"
When she looked back at me, I whispered, in tears, "Lady, I'm sorry. You have no idea what this return is about. Please, please, I do not have the capacity for this right now. My mother just died yesterday, and she never even wore these things"
She still did not help me!! Picture a crying woman whispering help me, and she turned away and did the same act as before!
Thank goodness a very young man stepped in, triaged & problem-solved by telling her, "take my register, I'll do the return".
She still resisted!!! This young man leaned toward me and de-escalated the situation by saying, "You are fine. I used to work at Giant Eagle, and believe me, I've seen the worst. You are nowhere like that!"
I apologized to him, explaining why I was so emotional. He kindly refused my apologies.
In fact, he paused and gave me his condolences AND gently told me to "just take good care of yourself...".
He carefully facilitated the return and offered kindness as I turned to leave.
Thank goodness for him. I wish I had noticed his name so I could have praised him to...
Read moreI just had the worst service at Jc Penney Salon. The first time I went the girl did my hair did a good job but the second the time the same girl changes my hair color to a color I never agreed to. I was honest to her by letting her know I don't like it. She was trying to brain wash me into liking it. I was honest to her but with respect I told her I want it the same color she gave me the last time. I didn't understand why she changed it when I never told her to. She said okay she will fix it. But when she turned the water she end up burning me and it hurt it bad. I tried to be patient because I didn't want to walk out with my hair looking crazy. She said jc Penney water temperature changes if someone else open the water. I had said to her that can be a lawsuit if someone else wants to be mean. She apologize but I was still feeling some type of way. Finally when she fixed my hair and got it to the hair color i went in for from the beginning she offered me a discount because of her mistakes. I paid and I left alone because I can understand people make mistakes and as a Christian I tried to have some empathy towards her. Well today I get of hold of her to get my hair done. She neglected me from doing my hair because I told her I didn't like the hair color she put on my hair the second time and had to give me a discount for it. She also said I either like or don't like it. I don't know what she meant by that but from my understanding sounds like if I don't like it I have to accept it. Which is ridiculous when I'm the one paying over 100 dollars for her service. Now I contacted customers relations about. According to dawn the salon management she can do nothing about. I don't expect anything back but I would think they will have some kind of consideration towards the mistreatment and neglect. Is okay I feel disgusted about the whole thing i would never ever go back to North olmsted jc penny again for anything & I won't recommend anyone either. This is the 1st time I had written a review &...
Read moreAgainst my better judgement I ordered from JCP online again thinking maybe they were just having a hard time back in December due to the holiday season. Needless to say I was very wrong. I now know that I will never order from them again. Their website is terribly misleading. It would say they had my desired size for a clothing garment and then when I would add it to my cart it would either be a different price or they suddenly wouldn't have it. The items that I did order were nothing like the clothing descriptions that went with my items. The sweatshirt I ordered ended up being a crop top when there was no indication of it being a crop top on their website. My Sailor Moon T-shirt is extremely thin and the threading is already coming apart. The ribbed tank top I ordered wasn't even ribbed. The arizona camis that I ordered did not have adjustable straps or a built in bra (which were both included in the item description). At the end of the day I will only ending up keeping one item out of the eight items I ordered as I will be returning the rest. The only plus was that the shipping was fast. All in all a disappointment, a waste of time and money. Not to mention that they will only ship free if you order over $99 worth of items which I do NOT recommend. Really disappointed. I have been a faithful JCP shopper for years along with my mother. I guess I have to find a new place to buy my jeans, shirts and shoes from. It is no wonder that this company is...
