We love the North Richland Hills library! They have a wonderful children's collection in the children's area, the children's librarians have all been welcoming, helpful, and very encouraging to my little ones (ages 8, 6, 4, and 2). They run exceptional programs for children of all ages; my eldest two truly enjoyed the STEM Camp this summer. And they were very helpful with the Mayor's Reading Club. We haven't met a children's librarian there that we don't love! And I greatly appreciate that they tolerate a bit more noise and enthusiasm than would be permitted in the adult reading areas; it's extremely difficult to keep four children quiet, as you might imagine.
And the adult areas of the library are quiet and we'll stocked. I love to come to the NRH Library to read a book when my husband watches the kids so I can get a little time away. We love this library...

It's really quiet, and throughout the facility there are computers. Regardless if they are all occupied, most people on the second floor keep to the sides and use laptops for studying and reading, because the wifi is way better then to be expected, with great bandwidth. The selection of books is large, and even a small area to sit outside and read, there is not much more that you may want in a library. There is also a new section called the Maker Spot, it will be very interesting and I'm looking forward to it. All in all, this is most likely my favorite place...

I am uncertain of how they check in returned books but it fails on a regular basis. It is a widely known issue. Several people have resorted to checking in directly at the desk or recording themselves returning the books into the slots. The staff must be aware of this issue which has also caused a double back where people know of it and sometimes claim they have returned things they have lost. Which then again blows back on people who have returned items because depending on the mood of the staff they can be distrustful and rude. This needs...
