I have been an avid gamer and a game stop customer for years. Today I visited the Munster location with my husband and the experience changed my entire outlook of the franchise. I was serviced by two female employees, both of whom were very unenthusiastic to help. I attempted to trade in two games and a ps4 controller, all of which are in A1 shape. The first female employee checked my controller for defects. Now, if youâve been to this location, then you know that you can see the system screen that checks the products. The test went as normal, I watched every light turn green (meaning that the controller was in good working condition) the female employee snatched out the cord connecting my controller to the system, slamming my controller on the counter and said that it was defective. I assumed that maybe she wasnât in the best mood, so I just collected my things and continued to browse. I then found ANOTHER girl that I assumed could help, so I had her check my games, she looked at me, then my husband and said that she couldnât accept the games because I didnât have a receipt. This was very discerning, so i have decided to take my business elsewhere. I donât want to assume that I was profiled...so Iâll just say that this was a Horrible group of employees on this shift. The only reason they get two stars is because of the great condition of the store but the actual customer service leaves MUCH...

Iâve worked here from February - May of 2025 and I only took 30min breaks and the work isnât even hard to be taking over 1hour breaks trust me I was a manager here I had quit because the company doesnât care about the customers they always forced me to give customers an membership then warranty on every product that we sold. I didnât feel comfortable with doing that because people can barely afford the regular price of products we already sell so why would I force somebody to get a membership? Then if the customer told me âNo thanksâ my manager âPedroâ will always want me to keep pressuring the customer. That just wasnât right & also donât bring your PS5 or Xbox to trade in cause weâll give you slow ball price and sell it for a higher price. Youâll be better off selling your Systems on Facebook...
   Read moreTried to trade in a PlayStation 4 after deleting everything and going through everything the manager decided the disc tray was a little âslowâ in putting the disc in and tried to lower the trade value by 50$ told us to clean it and bring it back. Long time loyal customer to this store Bring Sarah and the crew back. I can see why all the negative reviews all of a sudden. Disc tray loads fine and system reads disc and plays so whatâs the deal. She Said looks like itâs going out how can you tell itâs going out by looking at it is beyond me. It turns on plays and takes the disc no problems. Went to another store they took it no problem said the disc tray wasnât an issue. Was also happy to explain that it was probably just dust and they would blow it out and guess what went in fine and took it. Munster...
