Walked in today and was greeted by a worker who very obviously did not want to be working today. I'd ordered a grilled cheese for my son with an apple and asked if they could please slice it for me. She very rudely told me "we don't do that you need to go ask them down there" Every time I got to Panera Munster it is the cashiers who asks if I would like his apple sliced and I've always thanked them for being so thoughtful. When she asked for my rewards card I asked her to look it up by phone and accidentally gave her my husbands number instead of mine. When I realized it, I asked her to change it and was met with an eye roll and a very loud sigh. She then told me I had a free cookie and I told her a chocolate chip would be fine, she then asked if I wanted prepackaged or warmed. I pointed to the bakery case and said "oh those are fine" she then snapped "so WARMED!" I said "yes fine" and started to walk away. She then slapped it on a plate and yelled "here". I walked back and asked for her name as that was it for me. The person I was with didn't order anything because she did not want to deal with that particular worker. I have never had such a horrible experience with such a rude individual at Panera Munster. Even during rushes the workers are helpful and always offer to bring me my food when they see I have my son. I love going there because its so close to home. I did ask for the manager and explained to him everything that happened and he apologized and offered to look into it. He did offer me a voucher which though generous, was not the goal of my complaint. I threw it away and unfortunately will not be going back for awhile. People complain about how teenagers in service positions are the ones with attitude problems, but this worker was an older lady and I honestly would never have expected such behavior from an...
Read moreI love Panera Bread food. I order the same exact carry out and delivery order from the Munster, IN location at least 3-4 times a week through the online app. Unfortunately, the order is wrong just about half of the time. I have always showed great patience as I take the order back to be corrected. In fact, they usually make up for it by giving me a coupon or refunding my order. The one good thing I was able to say about their service is that my order was always ready and on the shelf at the time the app said it would be. Well not anymore. Every time I go there lately, I wait 10-15 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. I am fed up now after standing in there for 20 mins and watching people stand in line, order, and receive their meal while I'm still waiting. Many other people were standing around in the confused mess waiting for their pick up orders as well. And I won’t even get into the mess out in the parking lot. I had to leave this time without my meal and no time, nor desire to complain. They can keep my money. I will never go back there. I'm not giving up on Panera Bread- just...
Read moreI love Panera. The food I get from this location is always amazing, but tonight's visit was very disappointing. I am aware it was their last hour open. This must be why they were out of lettuce for the salad I wanted, but then they told me they couldn't make me a hot sandwich. I then asked what they had and went with a Mediterranean Veggie, half with some chips. When I got to the window to pay and receive my food, I did not receive much friendliness. The cashier didn't even thank me or tell me to have a good day. She looked pretty young, perhaps a high schooler or in college. I am young myself and I've worked in the service industry, but even before that I had common manners. But I guess others aren't taught that. I highly suggest your employees improve on their customer service, however I'm sure not all are like that. Another thing is, my half sandwich was more like a fourth of sandwich. It tasted great but was very tiny. I will continue to support, just hope to not have an experience...
