This was our 2nd year experiencing the Willow Hill Drive Thru Light Show in Northbrook. One significant different in 2023, instead of driving up the former land filled hill, you incline on the left side versus the right side. When we inquired, they said to "ease up" traffic on Willow Road during the busier nights. Which is understandable. Super easy to buy you ticket online for a flat fee of $40 for as many people (legally) you can fit in your car. 4 people = $10 per person, not bad for a 30 minute tour while enjoying a Holiday Light Show from the warm comfort of your car. You can bring your own snacks. Tune your radio to Willow Hill Lights station and sit back and relax. The driver of your car should turn off the headlights as a courtesy to the car in front of you. Don't worry the path, is illuminated by all the Holiday lights. Not only will you enjoy the colorful, themed light displays....which there are many, you will experience awesome views of the City of Chicago including Willis Tower and the John Hancock. We had to postpone our ticket this past year due to a health issue. No problem, Willow Hill let us select another date ;) Highly recommend you add it to your...
Read moreIt was okay, not worth $40 though. The lights didn’t even move to the music. About 5 mins through the station they said to switch to turned to static and then turned into a religious station with someone praying but eventually switched back - not their fault obviously but they should pick a different station. Some of the lights weren’t even working and I just wasn’t very impressed. Some of the lights we couldn’t even figure out what they were. The amount of space that they have to utilize is great but they aren’t using all of it. Last year we went to Santa’s Rockin Lights in Graylake and they had an amazing show that lasted a bit longer and it was a few bucks cheaper. We tried Willow Hill cause it was only 7 mins away from our house and weren’t very impressed. Hopefully they can make some changes and make it worth people’s...
Read moreThe lights were absolutely beautiful and amazing. The only reason why I removed a star is because I did not anticipate how long the line would be and how slow the cars would go once we got in- I understand it was Christmas Eve and maybe I should’ve known better but we waited about 45 minutes before we got to the booth to show our tickets. once we got in, I thought the line would move- that the cars would keep moving through the show, , but many of the cars kept stopping so very long delays to get though . I feel like they need to tell each car as they show their ticket no stopping keep driving. even if people were driving slow, the line would keep moving, but there were many times throughout the path we were just stuck standing still. other than that, i would recommend. nicely done just be prepared for...
