My daughters and I have been going LP nails for several years now. We have mostly enjoyed our experience up until today. My daughter and I had appointments for pedicures and manicures. We were seated next to each other in pedicure chairs. She was seated first. I brought back 2 bottles of polish with me so I could get my daughters opinion on which color I should choose. While she was looking at the 2 bottles of polish, I set down my 24 oz Tervis cup on the wooden armrest of the pedicure chair and almost lost it because it slid forward. I caught the cup right before it slid off the side of the armrest on to the floor. My daughter did not see this because she was looking at the bottles of polish and reached over to put the bottle of polish that she thought I should choose on that same armrest. It slid off the armrest and shattered on the floor splattering nail polish all over my daughters expensive work shoes. We tried to get it of with paper towels but unfortunately, the shoes are ruined. One of the girls cleaned up the floor and my daughter and I proceeded with our pedicures. I noticed that our pedicure chairs were different than most of them in the salon. They had no cup holders on the armrest and were not level like those armrest. It occurred to me that they must be aware of this situation and may offer us a discount for the ruined pair of shoes seeing that we’re good customers. I’ve gone there every 4-6 weeks for several years now. Instead, I was shocked to find that upon check out, not only was I not offered a discount for the ruined shoes, I was being charged ten dollars for the broken bottle of polish!! I told them I didn’t believe that was fair given that the wooden armrest of the pedicure chair was not level. They said we should have known it wasn’t level because I stopped my cup from sliding off. My daughter explained to them that she was the one who put the polish on the armrest and had not witnessed the cup almost sliding off the armrest so they relented and charged her half. Five dollars instead of ten for the broken polish. In my opinion, the the cause of the accident was faulty equipment and we should have been offered compensation for the cost of the ruined shoes and definitely not charged for the bottle broken of nail polish. We did not drop the bottle of polish, it slid off the armrest. They are obviously not interested in customer satisfaction and retention at this salon given that they would treat a regular customer so poorly. My family and I will...
Read moreI use to love coming here with my mother & grandmother when Lee was still doing nails. Today I made an appt at 2:45 and I told them I needed to be done by 3:55. When I arrived they told me it would be a 30 minute wait. When they lady was doing my pedicure, it was the worst one I’ve ever had. I believe her name was Jenny. (I am so sorry if it wasn’t Jenny but that’s the name the male mentioned) she rushed through the entire thing. Didn’t even scrub the bottoms of my feet thoroughly or lotion. The steam towel was cold. Then she had my take off my own nail polish & I reminded her I needed to be done at 3:55 4pm the latest and it was already 3:38. I told her we could just take the polish off and skin the nail polish because I did not have time. She handed me the cotton ball & acetone and had me remove it myself and then she grabbed her things and literally ran out the door. I guess she had to pick up her children. As a mom of 3 & an Esthetician myself, I understand ALOT of things. And I NEVER make reviews or say anything but this entire experience was horrible from start to finish. I mustered the courage to speak to the gentleman about my experience and he kept brushing me off and over talking me. He literally didn’t want me to get one word in and. I believe it’s because he didn’t want the other customers to hear. I tried explaining that I do not ever make a fuss & I tried speaking low to not draw attention but I was frustrated with the amount of times he cut me off. He said that “next time I shouldn’t book with a nail tech that is in a rush”. I told him how did I have any idea she was in a rush? I called the salon and booked the appt no one ever mentioned the nail tech had someone to be. How about don’t take an appt you know you don’t have time for. As an industry professional myself, that’s a major rule. He said to me “if you not happy just don’t tip her” but I told him that was rude and I am not trying to cause problems but trying to express my frustration. When I asked for a discount on the service that was rushed through, he told me no. I just wanted to pay and get out. When I reached my car, my left big toe was totally smudged. I’m just upset and I will not be...
Read moreI would like to start by saying I usually do my own nails, I used to do gel overlays but I’ve been doing natural with regular nail polish for only two years. I know my nails and I know how they should be.
I had a wedding to attend this past Saturday and decided to treat myself on Wednesday to nice nails because mine had taken a beating lately, I also wanted my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure because I was feeling lazy and wanted to be pampered. The pedicure and eyebrow wax were amazing and I am so happy with the results.
HOWEVER the acrylic nails I got were not it. I could tell that night they weren’t shaped right but honestly anticipated taking them off myself after a week or so and they looked nice so I let it slide. Cut to cocktail hour at the wedding and my pointer finger popped off while scooching my chair in. Mind you I babied these acrylics more than my natural nail. It literally didn’t hurt it just popped off, three days into a mani and it didn’t even last the event I got them for, great, we reminded ourselves why we don’t pay to get nails done.
They’re closed on sundays so I called them this morning (Monday) and let them know the situation and that I just want them removed, they did offer to repair and I said no thank you. I stopped in after work and they’re busy, I get it, I patiently wait the hour and a half it takes for my soak off while other clients are worked on, “don’t worry about me go ahead and finish her” I was literally chilling.
Maybe this was my fault by kind of expecting the standard, but I was kind of surprised that I was charged $15 to remove nails that were not structurally sound to begin with. I didn’t get a clear coat, nail polish, just poorly structured and failing acrylics removed and natural nails shaped. I never asked for a refund, I never accused anyone or said a negative word about the nails, but honestly this will be the thing that doesn’t make me return, not the...
