Terrible experience at this place, primarily by a Caucasian woman 3:00 PM on Friday July 26, 2024. Incapable of demonstrating patience, listening to customers, and communicating proper contexts. There are several instances:
I had difficulty getting connection from my phone cellular wifi to pull up the QR code. She kept saying that there is no wifi here multiple times. I don’t know why the thought of cellular wifi escapes her mind, unless she has predisposed bias about our socioeconomic status in which I can’t afford cellular wifi.
She complains to me that she has to tape two of my boxes and then to her supervisor, even though she said she is going to be nice to me. Being nice doesn’t mean doing it and then complaining it to your boss in front of my face.
I brought in five boxes of air purifiers in which I am supposed to give her the QR codes in which to print the labels and put those away. We have two toddlers outside so one of us always has outside in the car with the children. Instead, she told my wife to give her the QR code for one of the boxes so she can get rid of it. Once my wife finished her boxes, I came back to give her the QR codes for my five boxes scanning the first one and it was already used. Instead of properly communicating to me that the QR code has already been used to pack one of my boxes, she told me that my wife used my QR code for my box for one of her boxes causing me to have a misunderstanding with my wife.
Overall, if there is a zero, I...
Read moreLack of quality and customer respect. Service required: notarize a document and send it to Michigan Department of State Office of the Great Seal in 7064 Crowner Dr Lansing, MI 48918, in order to apostille the document. Issues: The Michigan Department of State Office of the Great Seal returned the document requiring correction from NOTARY because the expiration date in the seal is not readable (missing last digit). I returned to the store to correct the issue expecting no charges because there were no mistakes from my side. Customer care: Instead of recognizing the lack of quality of the work executed, the attendants Lori Cramer and Roopa did not recognize the mistake, and told that it was my responsibility to check the quality of their work, they re-stamped at no charge, but were irreducible with the new shipment fees that it should be covered by UPS, since it was not my mistake. To my surprise, Roopa told me she was giving me 5% discount, which is nothing but my AAA member discount. So, I had to pay again out of pocket $21.60. I consider the attendants’ support disrespectful and outrageous. I don’t even know if the re-notarized document will be accepted and if I have to start the process over again (over $130.00 including fingerprint, FBI fees, shipment, etc.), not to mention the...
Read moreI was again dissatisfied with the service at The UPS Store in my town of Northville. This is not the first time I have attempted to ship packages and been shocked by the cost and gone to the post office instead. This latest attempt has convinced me to no longer patron The UPS Store and instead use my local post office or find another UPS location where the employees work to reduce your shipping fees. First, I paid $32 for a rather large box to ship a tennis racket and a putter, but this is what they recommended. To conserve money, I packed the items myself. They wouldn’t lend me tape, so I ran home to use my own. After that hassle, the cost to ship the box was $176. The post office would have charged a similar rate of $150 given the size of the box; however, the workers at the post office recognized the items were light and could be shipped more efficiently. They provided a free box for the putter and, with added insurance of $300, the charge was $37.50. By bubble wrapping the tennis racket with priority mail tape, which the postal employee did for me at no charge, I paid only $12.60. I would have expected this kind of service from a local business; instead, it was a government institution that provided top service, knowledge, and...
