We have been coming to Center Street Grill since its opening and the service is always awesome! Our server, Joe, was on top of everything. The Carmel Brownie Cheesecake was the Bomb! (Should be served with tall glass of ice-cold milk).
I had the Whitefish Reuben. Very full taste, but not too wild (which I wouldn't like anyway). Wife had the Chicken BLT. Chicken was good, but too much bun (trying to cut back on carbs). The Calamari was very good. If you have ever had Calamari, you know it's always chewy. Their Calamari rings are firm and not chewy. That's a first for this reviewe. My son ordered the Center Street Burger (nothing fancy) medium rare, and it came out medium rare. We also.sampled the Tenderloin Steak Tips. They were cooked to perfection, but a little too spicy. The Apple Crisp was perfect! Hot, but the scoop of Guernsey's ice cream on top of it didn't melt like you'd expect, so it didn't get sloppy.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes a good atmosphere, with LOTS of TV monitors. Where else can you watch golf, college Hoops and NHL in one place? This place and Ironwood Grill in Plymouth are owned by the same group, and their mark of quality shows through. So if you get tired of those place, try Ironwood Grill instead. Despite the one or two small things, I give this place 5 Stars in the Upscale Sports...
Read moreLast night was the first visit to this place for my girlfriend and I. It was crowded with a 30 to 35 min wait so, we ordered a couple of beers at the bar while, we waited. First impression, not good. A female bartender (brunette with glasses) takes my order for a bottle of beer and proceeds to pour the beer into a plastic cup. I asked her why, did she do that and was told "because we don't allow customers to take glass outside". That's great that they do this, but don't assume that I'm taking the bottle outside when it's raining pretty steady. Instead, advise me of this policy and let me decide if, I want to go outside or not. Also, my girlfriend placed a $20 bill on the bar as we waited for her drink. Same bartender brings the drink and asks while picking up the $20 "do you need change" without telling us the cost and then, had to come back to let us know the price ($9.50). Thankfully, we had a decent waitress, but as another reviewer had noted, the place was pretty dirty. An older guy started sweeping but appeared to be pushing it around, more than sweeping it up. The food was good, but the French Onion soup was so-so. My girl had the Chicken Tortilla soup which was pretty good. I'll go back again to give it a second try, but not...
Read moreNormally I would score Center Street Grill 5 stars as the food is great and so is the service. Consequently this place is clearly on our list of "go to" restaurants. However, today's visit fell short when both my wife and I ordered salads. My wife requested that the dressing for her salad be on the side whereas I said that mine could be just all mixed up which is what we usually request when ordering salads. When I received the bill I noticed a small charge for "tossing" my tossed salad even though this was not pointed out during the ordering process (probably understandably embarrassed to explain a "tossing" charge for a tossed salad). When I mentioned this to our service provider I received a rather edgy reply that it would be removed from the bill this time but that I need to keep this in mind for the future when ordering salads. Nickel-and-diming like this is a little beneath an establishment like Center Street Grill as is the "traffic cop" like warning that "it better not happen again" which I received.
We will assume that this was an isolated incident as all prior dining experiences here have been...
