As a Handler with a service dog I shouldn't be harassed when I come in there with my service dog. We should be able to sit down order our food and not have any problems and be continuously asked if my service dog is a good well behaved dog. Yet despite service dogs being medical Lifeline equipment which is why they go everywhere with their Handler for a reason! The manager kept asking me this question, and I was ready to just get up and leave.... wish I did, but I didn't and I sat there and I waited for my family member to figure out what they wanted and we waited to long to get refills and order. We made it very clear my one family member could not have Jerry and that I could not have gluten I cannot even have food that has been cross-contaminated buy a meal that is prepared in their kitchen that has gluten in it that. However despite that and making it very clear about the severe gluten allergy and that I cannot have anything gluten I ate my food and I started to feel sick about it so I took the food as a carry out I had it as a late night snack and before I knew it I was in the ER vinyl because it was cross-contaminated with food being prepared and cooked by whoever was in the back that was using ingredients that were flour-based related and short flower like in wheat and despite claiming that they are able to give you a gluten-free alternative if it's crust contaminated it doesn't change the fact that it is now got gluten in it and it can make people with special to have Celiac violently ill and even put them in the ICU unit. After that situation and how I was treated with my service dog and then getting violently ill because the food was cross-contaminated I will not be coming back to this location unfortunately despite having a few good times being here where we were not treated like that this was nothing short of a traumatic experience by how I was treated by the manager how long it took for us to get her food ordered and how it felt like we weren't even wanted there because I had my service dog and I'm getting fruit cross-contaminated absolutely not no thank you I'm done with Los...
Read moreWe've been to this place several times to eat in and the food was decent, although inconsistent at times. Service was what you would called efficient like at a fast food restaurant, but sometimes slow, nothing more. This last weekend we did take out on Sunday, it wasn't even crowded, and ordered about $56 and had a coupon in the paper that is good for everyday use, no exclusions, but when I went to pick up, Santiago, the day's manager since the real manager, Jesse, wasn't there that day, said that he can't accept the coupon on weekend. I asked calmly why that is the case even though the coupon has no weekend exclusion and he just said he can't and there's nothing he can do about it. Apparently they don't care to put out something and changed their mind about it. Sounds like false advertising. I considered walking away but it was getting late and my family was hungry so I paid anyway but I should have walked away.
When I came home and got the food out, they forgot to pack rice, beans and salsa for the double fajita amigos that cost $36. Is a fajitas still a fajitas without rice, beans and salsa? Well after the in-store experience I wasn't going to call in to them to complain about another fail by Los Tres.
Guess they didn't care about losing a customer. But there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants around that have much better customer service and good food. Good...
Read moreI happened to be visiting Downtown Northville with my wife when I spotted Los Tres Amigos restaurant. We reluctantly went in because the person waiting at the door as a host, did not look welcoming. He also happened to be the seater and the waiter at the same time--all three in one. The guy did not look happy at all, though. Not a good start. I was hesitant between ordering Fish Tacos or Nayarit Fish Tacos. I asked him which one he preferred. He recommended the latter. Bad choice. My wife ordered Vegetable Fajitas. The food came quickly. Later, I knew why (because maybe it was frozen). My Nayarit tasted nothing at all, not even like a fish or any thing--just like a cold water. I kid you not. Also, I felt there was fish bones in my taco. The depressed waiter came and asked "how's every thing"? He must have posed a Socrates' philosophical question about direction of life, not the food. That's because I told him there were bones in my Taco, but he turned his back and left without uttering a word. No response like: I am sorry or I will tell the cook! None of that. He just left and never mentioned this philosophical question again, and only came back with the bill. I tasted some of my wife's beans and they also were like cold water, no taste whatsoever. I was not impressed by Los Tres Amigos' food or service, to say the least. This will be my first and last visit to Los Tres....
