I went here recently looking for dark green floral wire so I can put up clear bright lights on two 6-ft tall shrubs in front of our house. I like to secure the lights with wire (helps them to stay in place on a windy day). The store is nicely organized and very well maintained. It was not a mess considering that lots of people were out shopping on a week-day getting ready for the Christmas season. I was impressed by how clean and well organized the store is, and even more impressed by Rachela (an Employee) who walked me over to where the wire is located. I picked up a couple of spools just to have extra wire for next year. The store had ALL four cash registers opened. The customer line was super long, but it moved quickly. I waited less than 5-minutes to pay. The employees were very nice, professional, courteous and helpful at this particular store. I appreciated the excellent customer service (which is very rare today). I also appreciated the fact that the store was nicely maintained. It wasn't disorganized like other stores I have shopped at before. Also, a lot of their Holiday decorations were already slashed from 60% to 70% off. Sweet! There is plenty of ample, free parking. The store is located in between Staples Office Supply Store and Petco, and across the street from the Harlem and Irving Park mall (also known as the "HIP" mall). My experience was very positive. I would return again for my craft needs and/or other Holiday needs. Good prices. Excellent customer service. Well-organized...

The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what you’re looking for, even with such a huge selection. The staff is always friendly and willing to help, whether it’s locating an item or offering suggestions for a project. I’ve had great experiences asking for advice on everything from paint types to crafting tools—they really know their stuff.
One of the standout features of Michael’s is their frequent sales and discounts. Their weekly coupons and rewards program make crafting affordable, which is a big bonus for anyone on a budget. I’ve also enjoyed their in-store and online crafting classes, which are fantastic for learning new skills or brushing up on old ones.

Read moreHORRIBLE framing department and worse store manager.
Had a horrible experience at Michael's Frame Dept in Norridge IL this past weekend. My very old oil painting was DAMAGED by staff because the store was so understaffed on Black Friday weekend when they have a 70% off sale on frames (seriously, WHO does that?). The girl was rushed and frantic and damaged the painting while taking the glass off. To top it off, I brought in four paintings and after an hour an a half....only got one framed because the store was so understaffed and this girl kept stopping to help any one who walked by. Complained to manager Andrew, who had a very lackadaisical attitude toward the staffing issue and my concerns. Called the only number they would give me for corporate...and that person totally ignored me. Shows that customer care....really doesn't care. My painting is DAMAGED. An oil painting by an artist who is now deceased. It was a beautiful seascape and I'm just sick about it. To top it off, I wasted an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back. I walked in with hopes of getting four paintings framed and after all that time only accomplished one painting and bought a frame that was just OK because the girl was too busy stopping every two minutes to answer questions from random shoppers and wouldn't ask for help. She was trying to please everyone---but me---the customer with the four paintings and open wallet who needed artistic help in getting this project done. HORRIBLE experience. You guys...
