I am months late in providing this review, but Andy's TV Sales & Service was so top knotch I had to leave it even though it was late. It started in Feb of 2022 when my mother purchased a brand new Samsung flat screen TV. It was defective out of the box but I didn't know it. Her display was strobing/flickering/blinking.. whatever you want to call it. The image would stay on the screen but the backlight would get brighter and dimmer rapidly as if you were in a 90s rave club. She didn't tell me she was having issues with it until it was so bad the flashing would stay on constantly and it gave her a migraine to watch. I called Samsung and after 2 hours of messing with settings they finally agreed to have a repair partner come out to repair the TV. The first company they contracted with stood my mom up twice and then randomly showed up to her house on a day they were not scheduled and called her to ask her why she wasn't home. We called Samsung back and requested a different repair partner and were given Andy's. From that moment on, the experience was wonderful. The owner called my mother to find out what was wrong. Based on her response he pre-ordered a part so he could have the TV fixed on the first visit. His communication was excellent and he showed up when promised. Turns out that her TV was having an issue that he had never seen before. He spent a good chunk of time troubleshooting the TV, constantly assuring us that he would get it fixed and not to worry. He ended up having to order a whole new display and came back a second time to install it once received. He was very respectful of her home, and property. He was very gentle with everything he did and he got her TV fixed beautifully. I will never go to any other TV repair shop. Andy's in the absolute best! Months later, her TV is still working better than new...
Read moreI called to inquire about repair services for a TV and was met with total condescension and complete refusal to help. Whoever answered my call told me to call 311 and recycle my TV. They didnât ask or assess what repairs were needed; they just flat out refused to speak to me. Their bad attitude inspired going the extra mile to leave a review about my experience. Super, super rude. Spoke over me on the phone. Left me feeling frustrated, ignored, and disposable. No thank you.
ETA: 6 months later, your response to my review is more of the same behavior. I did not ask you to "dispose of an old TV," I tried to inquire about service (in your words, "an opportunity to fix something of [mine]"). You allowed for zero questions, and you aggressively spoke over me. How dare you act as though you knew what I had asked for, when you never let me finish a sentence in the first place? Instead of gaining a new customer for TV repair service, and any referrals from what could have been a positive experience, you refused my inquiry and directed me precisely away from your business. Based on your dishonest response, which is supremely delayed, I would say it's a really good thing I didn't bring you anything that was important to me for fear you would have scammed me into unnecessary costs or generally left me worse off than where I started.
I still do not recommend engaging with this business at all. Wish I had read through the earlier reviews where people described similarly terrible treatment. I'm glad all these people spoke up. Plus, now that you've taken time to respond to several reviews, potential customers can see your attitude and decide for themselves.
What a waste of my time. Wishing you all the best...
Read moreA 55in insignia tv that belonged to my parents went bad and I saw the opportunity to cash in on the deal, so the first place that came to mind was Andyâs tv repair. I approached Andy at the beginning of January with the tv on a Friday and I was charged a small diagnostic/ consultation fee of $29.50. Andy got back to me on Monday and told me he would have to order the part, but it would take a while to find it and ship it. Since I already had an tv this wasnât a problem and I wasnât in any hurry to get it back. I travel for work and was on the road when I received the phone call letting me know the tv was ready. He was even willing to let me come in and pick it up a week late because I couldnât make it into town to grab it before he closed and I was short on money at the time. When I came to pick it up I was charged $68.84 for materials and $69.50 for labor which brought my total to just shy of a very fair $140 before tax. He even left a detailed scope of his repairs on the receipt. This place is a gem, and if youâre not in a rush and let this man do what he loves, you will have a fantastic experience with...
