Using Menâs Warehouse for the groom, groomsman, father of the bride, father of the groom, and ring bearer attire was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I made in planning a wedding. Almost nothing went right. We first met with the manager at the MW store in Novi. The initial meeting went well- we discussed what we wanted our guys wearing. The manager created a store âaccountâ for our event with all the information (which shirt, which pant, each guy should purchase) listed- allowing our guys to go to any MW location and the staff would be able to access our account and see exactly which items weâd like out guys to purchase. Over the next few weeks our friends and family made their way to Menâs Warehouse stores- mostly Novi, Livonia and Westland. Everything seemed to be going just fine until about two weeks before the wedding- my husband (the groom) went to pick up his shirt and vest and asked if all the guys had been in to purchase the necessary items..they couldnât tell us. Oh, and they also didnât have his vest. At this point my husband started reaching out to our bridal party and found his dad was supposed to receive a bow tie in the mail that never came, and TWO groomsman weâre missing pants. We reached out to the store and expressed the need for these items ASAP. The staff apologized and assured us they would make it right. Now we are a week out from the wedding and we learn another groomsman has no suspender buttons on his pants, anotherâs pants were never hemmed and the groom still has no vest. We again spoke to the manager who apologized. We explained how this process has been extremely embarrassing for us as nothing has gone right for anyone in our bridal party. He promised he would make it right and would give us and the guys gift cards for our trouble. Fast forward to TWO days prior to the wedding and we find some of the guys have white shirts when they are supposed to have gray shirts (we were told all they needed was the code and MW would give them the correct items). At this point I have a million other things on my mind, stress level is at an all time high and I am fed up with Menâs Warehouseâs mistakes. We go in to the Novi store with the wrong shirts and ask to have them exchanged for the right shirts. The manager once again apologized and makes the switch. Again, he said heâd make it right. Three months later and we havenât heard a word from this company. Working with them was an absolute nightmare. I would never recommend them to anyone and I will be sure to share my horrible experience with everyone I know in the process of...
Read moreMy fiancĂ© and I went into this menâs warehouse in November without an appointment to look at suits for our upcoming wedding. We were put with a salesman that was very aggressive and then left us on our own for fifteen minutes standing around while he helped someone else, so we ended up leaving.
Flash forward a month and a half later we decided to give this menâs warehouse another try as we need to find suits for our wedding. We made an appointment this time and ended up with the same guy as before - Gerry. I took a deep breath and tried to have as much patience as I could from the get go even though I knew how he was. I have never bought a suit before and Iâve never been with my fiancĂ© when he has bought his, so Iâm not very knowledgeable in the suit department! Simple questions turned into insults back at me for not being knowledgeable. I asked about making the pants more slim, or renting vs. buying, general questions a normal customer would ask, and he responded in a way that was so condescending and made me feel so low dumb.I told my fiancĂ© we should leave and he agreed and said he wouldnât buy a suit from Gerry.
I had tears rolling down my face waking out of the store because Iâve had two horrible experiences in this store when it should be fun for my fiancĂ© and I, as this should be the most exciting time of our lives! My fiancĂ© even apologized to me about the way Gerry was speaking to me and we are now taking our business elsewhere.
Super disappointing. Apparently Gerry is the store manager too - ask for someone else to help you, especially if you are a newbie in suit buying or maybe itâs because Iâm female? He certainly wasnât speaking to my fiancĂ© the way he was to me.
editing on 10/7/2020 - we never had a follow up with higher up management or corporate. Go to Jos A...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER A TUX RENTAL FROM MEN'S WEARHOUSE!!!!
I went to MW 4.5 months before my wedding and set up/ordered my tuxedo for my wedding. 7 tuxedo rentals were set up for my wedding. 2 out of the 7 rentals were correct (just happened that those 2 correct rentals came from a different store).
What is the point of measuring someone for a tuxedo, if when they try on the tuxedo, nothing fits. My sleeves of my shirt were 4 inches short on my arms. MW's response - "oh that how dress shirts are supposed to fit." Bow tie was the wrong color Was not supplied cuff links or studs Suit Jacket was too small - twice Pants were too big in the waist
MW took measurements, they should have known at that time if they would not have been able to dress myself (the groom) or my groomsmen at the time of measurements, but no MW promised that they would take care of us, promised that this would be no issue.
4 days before my wedding they advised me that there was nothing they could do to fit me or my groomsmen. Their solution was that I could buy a dress shirt that fit from a different store, after I already spent my money with MW for my tuxedo.
Had I known 4.5 months prior to my wedding I could have sought another means or a different vendor for my tuxedo. It is apparent that MW cares more about securing your payment than the event or the people they are dressing you for.
MW tried their very hardest to ruin my wedding. I would never recommend their services to anyone who needs a tuxedo rental. Prom, wedding, anything honestly is better than trying to deal with MW and this store more...
