Our family likes to shop here for school, work and sports shoes. Selection is seasonal, following the mainland seasons so if you try to look for boots in the spring or sandals in the winter then you’ll have a tough time. Other than that, just check back to see what items they have because stock moves quickly. The stock on the floor are self-service, so you don’t have to worry about commissioned workers, but the sales ppl are always friendly to call other stores for stock or check in the back for sizes.
My two favorites about famous footwear is the clearance section and the use of their rewards program. Finding good prices on clearance shoes can be lucky or slim picks so it’s just timing, but the store almost always runs a “buy one get second half off” sale. Excellent deals can be found if you can find a couple of pairs around the same price, otherwise the cheaper pair will have the “half-off” removed.
Second favorite thing is the rewards app because it keeps track of your spending, history of purchases, and most important allows for discounts and money rewards. I often receive notification emails when promotions are running and easily link the deals to my app. The WiFi is a little quirky in-store with the app but the customer service is so good and the sales ppl will try their best to assist...
Read moreAssociate name: Karen and Malia (working on Oct. 8 between the hours of 1:30-3p) positively ruined my shopping experience today.
I came in not looking for anything in particular, just wanting to spend my money. Sadly,
I believe I was profiled. I believe that because I was followed. I know I was being followed because only Karen followed me from the women’s section to youth to men’s and back to youth where we sat and stared at each other on a try on bench for at least 3-5 agonizing minutes.
I heard things said about me through their earpieces as I approached the exit as if to block me from leaving the building thanks to another store associate named Malia (not spelled correctly possibly).
I almost left in tears I was so embarrassed. I regret making a purchase but really needed this gift as it was a special request. All in all, for any locals looking to spend your hard earned money, go elsewhere. If you don’t look a certain way, if you’re not wearing your Sunday best or easily recognized as a Korean tourist, They’re going to be saying things about you thru their earpieces, they’re going to be following you through their store and they’ll stare at you while you browse like a normal shopper does.
Mahalo Karen and Malia. I will not be...
Read moreI had a very satisfying experience at this Waikele store today. There were several offers for rewards I’ve been receiving in my gmail for several weeks already. But every time I visit to claim it, the reward I wanted to use in purchasing the Crocs would not apply. This morning I tried again to buy without a reward offer this time. This new associate, Ana who comes from New Zealand 2 months ago, helped me find the models and colors I wanted to buy for my wife and for myself. When the manager whose name is also Ana overheard my unfulfilled expectations about their rewards offer, she offered to assist the younger Ana. I finally got a reward for $5.00 and also got the exact color my wife wanted; which arrived the previous day! Their sales associate are very helpful and friendly. When the color of the Crocs I wanted to buy for my son was not available when I first visited last week, they called their Kapolei branch and reserved one for me. I’m a huge fan of Famous Footwear in their stores in Hawaii and California. Two of us in the family have to buy new pairs of shoes every 6 months because of planter fasciitis. Famous Footwear has the wide selection of different brands and models you don’t have to far anymore. It’s a...
