Went here to eat with my kids. First off (younger one orders udon) and she said it’s the best ever. So started off great. My older one gets oyakudon and as she’s picking through her food she finds a metal wire. We say something and she is extremely apologetic and remakes it. It’s fine, I’m thinking it’s an accident. I was not upset or anything at this point. I get my lunch sushi and it looks great, comes on a Little boat, smelled, looked fine, tasted good. At this point I can say (even with the metal wire) we would come back. Food took a little long but not that it bothered me. That’s not it though… Few hours later I start to feel funny. I honestly don’t know how to explain it but yucky inside. I just couldn’t place it. It’s not a headache, not quite a stomachache, what could this be? It was such a strange feeling but soon from this it went to full on excruciating pain. I was throwing up for couple hours then after that I went diarrhea into the early next morning. During this whole time I never knew there to be a pain like this. I was crying from the pain in my body. Not sure if anyone reading has had food poisoning but I didn’t realize what pain this causes and it’s more painful than headaches, stomachaches, flu all combined. The only thing I ate different from my kids for that day and few days before was my sushi lunch from this restaurant. I missed work the next day, I feel better now that I’m waking up from day 2 after. I just hope I don’t have worms now. I hope it’s all behind me🙏 I will never...
Read moreWorst experience ever at a dine in restaurant. It was not particularly busy, but we had a long wait for our food. When the server did bring the food out, the server gave it to the table behind us! The people at that table initially accepted the food. A few minutes later, they must have figured out the food was not theirs and had the server retrieve the plates. The server took the plates back to the kitchen. We were watching and listening to what was happening the whole time and suspected that was the food we'd ordered. About a minute later, the server brought the same dishes to our table!!! I asked the server if that was the same food that had been taken to the folks behind us. The server said yes, but "they hadn't touched it!!!" We had the server take it back, and said we wanted new food. Are you kidding!!! In the time of Covid-19, a restaurant would do that??? Yup, they sure did and in broad daylight and plain sight! I asked to speak to the manager, who told me that "everyone makes mistakes!!!" No real apology as you might expect, and we received no compensation or relief on our bill. The food had actually sat on another family's table! And the server didn't admit there had been a mixup until I asked. When we did get our food, we were pretty sure it was the original plates that had been wrongly delivered! Needless to say, we won't...
Read moreI came here around 5:15 pm to celebrate a birthday, and it was a busy holiday evening. No reservations, so first come, first served, and your entire party must be present. The location is conveniently located in the Waikele shopping center area. Nice decor and a simple 1 page double-sided menu with lots of options. Staff was friendly and attentive. Combination metals were nice. Tempura is very light and crunchy, but veggies were too thin for me. Shrimp tempura was a decent size. Tempura was still the best item on the menu to me. Miso soup was very flavorful, and sushi was tasty. Fried oysters were good with the tartar sauce they had. Teri beef loog good bit I didn't try it. Low light was the teriyaki chicken that was smothered in sauce. The sauce was light, but it was pretty heavy for my taste. The kids' meals were a great value, and my little ones were stuffed. It was overall a very good meal, and we will...
