A Nightmare Shopping Experience
I recently made a purchase of a $534 item from Joss & main. Unfortunately, my experience with this store has been nothing short of disastrous. The initial order process was plagued by errors, as my order was incorrectly assigned to a wrong email address. This oversight led to significant delays in the delivery process, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
When the item finally arrived, it was damaged. The glass component of the product was broken, rendering it unusable. Despite the obvious damage, the online support (which is the only way to get help) refused to accept the return or issue a refund without forcing me to package and ship the broken item back to them. This unreasonable demand puts me at risk of further injury from handling the broken glass.
To make matters worse, the store's customer service is virtually nonexistent. The only available support channel is a chat function, which proved to be ineffective in resolving my issue. Repeated attempts to contact customer service were met with dismissive responses and a complete lack of empathy.
I am extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The poor quality of service, coupled with the lack of support, has left me with a broken product and a significant financial loss. I urge potential customers to exercise caution and avoid doing business with this store. It's clear that they prioritize their own interests over customer satisfaction.
I strongly recommend considering alternative options, such as purchasing from nearby furniture stores. While these stores may be slightly more expensive, they offer significantly better customer service and product quality. Part of the bed frame was snapped in half upon arrival. They replaced it, replacement piece was snapped in half as well. When asking then to replace it again we requested that they inspect the piece upon delivery to confirm they didn't bring us more broken junk. They did not. Luckily the third time they finally delivered it properly. While going through this process they declined to give white glove service or anything similar (my thought was that it's fair for them to lift some furniture up the stairs since I had to twice due to their mistakes), they declined but offered a small discount for when we get our nightstands. When ordering those we realized the labor day sale was actually a larger discount then ours. We were told we cannot stack these discounts, meaning in effect they had done nothing to remedy the problems thus far. When getting our nightstands we gave them our previous receipt so they could copy all the shipping information, and they put in the wrong address.
Moral of the story after at least an hour or two on the phone with them throughout this process: you're paying premium prices for sub-par furniture and...
