We had a reservation that was made with the party planner/manager back in either October/November. The manager called to confirm reservations with the group yesterday at 630pm our reservation was set for 8pm. Our group started to arrive last night (Dec 8) between 7:50-8:14pm. The host was told at 750pm that they were cleaning the table and would be right with us..as we all gathered in the narrow area allowed due to a Christmas party being held there. We stood there until 8:38pm before manager Terry Cheung came over and said they have a Christmas party that still have our table and they are not leaving therefore he can not accommodate us!! Are you serious?? Then he proceed to say well I can't sit 18 people all together he only can do 2 tables 10 and 8 so now your splitting our group in 2 sections..no no and no!! He was argumentative non aplogetic and very rude..he made it seem as if it was our fault..was all 18 people there? No. Therefore we told him 9 are here a few are on their way but will be here shortly since we have no other choice at this point we will take the 2 tables..and we literally had to switch between tables to talk...I have never had a problem with the clubhouse I come often and when people ask what'your favorite restaurant? I tell them the clubhouse! I go on NYE and all..but after this accident it really left a bad impression on how the lack of making the customer happy sat with me and our entire group. Our bill was $578 we left a get tip..the waiter was ok..but the way Terry Cheung treated us was horrible and he is the general manager!! We won't be returning..I speak with clients everyday that I relocate from different states and internationally. I would refer them to the clubhouse and I know how business's survive off of referrals and I can say that I will never refer another client..I would hope my referees nervered received the treatment we received last night and if so I feel ashamed to have been the one to send them to the clubhouse..I also feel sad that after many years of going there I will not be returning again. I normally don’t write a review but I think this has to be mentioned for them to change something and improve their service to their customers. First of all I requested a table near a heater which they granted but when we got there we never thought the table would be literally in front of the huge heater blasting heat. We sat there for few minutes and yet it was so hot we had to inform the server, the server reduced the heat a little bit but it did not made a difference it was still too hot we felt like we were being put in the dryer. We literally tried to get through the blazing hot, we ordered appetizer and wine and talked but we could not stand it at all. We informed the server again and he said he can’t change the temperature anymore per manager instructions so he called the manager and manager came telling me there’s no other table available, I understand that we can’t move tables that time but to me, they should have never put a table literally in front of the heater that is blasting so much heat to begin with, it is beyond uncomfortable and a health hazard for someone who have a health issue you can literally get a heat stroke. Our make up were melting and we were sweating head to toe. My friend’s bday celebration was ruined, we could not finish our main entree we had to pack it to go that’s how horrible the heat was. Read moreWe went there to check out a room and the rest of the place for a party of 20 people for a 70th birthday party and we wanted to come in for brunch at around 12:30pm. Everything was going well and the party planner seemed flexible and accommodating, until she said that she would have to double check with the general manager and that she would be calling us later to confirm the reservation. I immediately said to our party, I bet they are not going to get us in during brunch, it's going to be after brunch because they want the $800.00 guarantee for the use of the small room during their slow hours of business to maximize the amount of money they will make that day. We stayed for lunch, after we finished our conversation with the party planner and ordered the lobster bisque soup, chicken piccata with angel hair pasta and the chicken pot pie. The service and the food were very good and reasonably priced for lunch. Sure enough I called it out and hit a bulls eye!! After a few hours she called us back and said that she could only get us in after brunch at around 4:00pm - 4:30pm or maybe for brunch at 10:00am. But was really pushing us hard to commit towards dinner time. We said no thanks!!! And immediately started looking at other places and took our business elsewhere. We had also signed up for their rewards membership program by paying $20.00 for the $25.00 gift card towards future dinning.
