I bought a rod & reel + warranty 2 days ago. The brake adjuster knob was missing! Did an online order that same night. It was ready for pickup yesterday. Awesome job! Today, I went to the store with plans to exchange the rod & reel combo and to pick up my order. Rating would’ve been 5 stars at that point.
Enter store. “Humiliation voice” sounds, alerting that someone has either stolen merchandise, or someone didn’t do their job and deactivate the security thing. I don’t know what it said, because at this point, I’m already feeling like I am being looked at as if I’m guilty of something. I stated that we have the receipt and the man doesn’t seem interested that I’m speaking and doesn’t acknowledge my receipt. Just tells us to go on to the customer service rep, and acts as if he’s preoccupied with something else. Never once offering an apology for the embarrassment I just felt at that moment. By then, I’d already decided to just get my money back for the rod & reel and get my order. That’s what I did.
Rating has dropped to 4 now, but we will go ahead and shop for some fishing stuff anyway.
Go to checkout to pay for it. I’m also holding the hoodie I purchased online, which, at that time, remained packaged inside clear plastic, undisturbed, not violated; with online order info attached. The cashier asked me if I’ve already paid for this! I tell her, “yes ma’am, I have. Here’s the receipt”. Now, we’re at 3 stars.
Exit store: there goes that stupid alert! Again! I walk back over to the register and she grabs my package, rips it open, runs it across the counter and hands it back to me; all unfolded and tacky looking, and asks if I’d like another bag. I tell her yes I would because it’s a gift. She then crams it over into a white shopping bag, unfolded, and wadded up, as if my purchased item wasn’t appreciated. Since they managed to go from 5 stars to 2 stars in one visit, I’ll not be returning for the risk of making it become a 1 star...
Read morePicked up an online order for Nike Dunks for my son's prom Thursday evening. We live 45 minutes away from your store. When checking with customer service their only suggestion is that I should have inspected the shoes before I left. Please explain how a security tag removal is the fault of the customer? I did open the box in the cat and the tag wasn't visible until they were taken out for try on. Now due to limited time I'm to drive back to the store in between work and my son's games tonight to try to correct this before Saturday. Which means leaving from work early. Losing money gas and time and all I get is a you should...
Read moreJust a heads up if you're looking for something other than a yeti cooler or overpriced Northface parka, this is no longer a sporting goods store; it is strictly a clothing store. The kids working there did not understand what a hunting and fishing license was, or if they even offer them. After speaking with someone I assume was in a manager position, they stated that if they did even offer them, no one on site knew how to type one up. If you can't do a simple fishing license, you are not a sporting goods store. I felt...
