I have never been so disappointed in my life. The food was dry, hashbrowns hard, my husband said no bacon on the chicken sandwich and they brought it with bacon. Instead of just taking it back automatically and refixing it, it turned into a kindergarten class where the kindergarten waitresses wanted to play teacher and tell us how we should talk saying we needed to act this way and that way all because of this: My husband then got frustrated and the waitress was rude. Another waitress started off being respectful, but wouldn't even refix my burger after saying she would, just let the cook reheat the meat which made it hard. She called us childish, but then as we were leaving after my husband already paid she got ugly and said uh? Did they pay already? Another server said yes they did, she said huh? I turned around and said, uh, yes we paid, she mocked me being ugly and rude, so who's being the childish one? Yes we were mad and if u want to view our responses as childish go ahead, but they deserved all of it for how childish and immature they acted as well, js! This was all around 6pm or so on Tuesday night. I have ate hear before on day shift and was never treated so rudely. I will not be back. Neither will my husband. Also i want to state I have a physical disability involving my eye lids and I couldn't hear word for word what the waitress was saying but i believe they were commenting on my appearance and if so that was uncalled for. I'm a paying customer and idc who u are, there is no reason to be ugly and rude towards ppl. The food was horrible. My husband's drink was horrible. What happened to morals and decency? Needless to say she didn't get a tip and rightfully so and im about sure thats why she mocked me as we were leaving. U don't give good service with a smile and respect, then u can't expect respect and kindness in return and u sure won't get a tip from me. Your tip and wether u get one is based on ur attitude towards me, the service u provide during my visit, and the food. We will...

Good experience on a to-go order: Yesterday morning around 4am I stopped in at the Oak Ridge, TN Waffle House for a quick breakfast order to-go as it was my day off from work and I had scheduled with Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries to volunteer serving breakfast to the homeless. Here at the Waffle House, I ordered 2-sausage biscuits and a hashround (with mushrooms) and a coffee (the day doesn't officially start before coffee). The young waitress was a model of productivity and pleasant respect as she assisted her coworker with my order and politely made me feel like a welcomed guest. Full of energy and sunshine even though it was still dark outside. The prepared meal was quite delicious as I dug into it heading to the interstate and gave me plenty of energy for the volunteer work yet ahead where I smiled at each guest and with similar sunshine to welcome them to breakfast where I helped fix up their breakfast plate. I look forward to visiting again on next week's day off when I'll again be volunteering at the Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries. Even on a dark chilly morning, the staff at the Waffle House in Oak Ridge was beaming with sunshine and friendly smiles. Menu's are appetizing, but it's the staff that makes a restaurant memorable and worth...
Read moreLast time (a while ago) we were here it was not busy, at all, only one or two other tables with people eating. We went in and sat down and the waitress said she’d be right with us. She attended other people and then… we waited. And waited. And waited. Then we left. She was too busy counting out slips of paper to take our order apparently - so we left. I’m not sure she even saw us leave. So today we try Oak Ridge again. I ordered scrambled eggs and sausage and husband ordered ham/cheese omelette with hash browns. Everything was COLD except the omelette. I set my food at the edge of the table but she never came back. When we first moved here (20 months ago) we went here pretty regularly and it was good but after repeated issues the last several times, we started going to any other location and have consistently had a better experience - the food is hot and service is genuinely friendly. It’s a shame because they’re only 5 minutes from us but it’s worth a few minutes more for hot food and good service.. Also, husband used bathroom and said it was...
